  The  world cup of golf 2017

   

  Hello all and welcome to a late  round 6 of 7 games

  
  

  Only 2 rounds left to go and still lots of places up for grabs.

  
  

  Bit of an issue with teams not being sent over again on time,I cant post matches until all teams are in so make sure they are sent over on time captains,

   

  Anyway onto round 6

   

  GROUP 1

  
  

  The chickens won the battle between the top 2 and can’t see anyone really touching them for the top spot,cosa have the luxury of the 24 points this round and will hard to catch in 2^nd spot for the last round,pukis and the eagles battle it out this round for 3^rd and 4^th spot, its going to be tough for the others to catch them but you never know.

   

    GROUP 2

  
  

  The wolverines look to going through as group leaders but the next 3 spots are still up for grabs between four teams,Arona,Avengers,calm waters and Carolina.

   

  GROUP 3

  
  

  After our win against the eagles,we have a slender lead over cosa goodfellas so we can’t afford to take it easy and will looking for a few points off friends of seve but it will be tough,cosa take on the diamonds and grande oaks are playing the eagles,this group isn’t decided yet,I reckon it will go down to the wire for the top four.east coast are still in the mix as well.

   

  GROUP 4

  
  

  victoriae entertain the daredevils and no quitters take on east coast so the top four playing each other,the trannies will be hoping to take a lot of points off the the hen peckers to get back in the mix for the top 4 spots.

  
  

  Still a lot of golf to be played in all groups and only 2 rounds left,this is the part I love now its coming down to the wire,it is vital to get all your matches played to get the points for your team.

  any player with a -2  by their name must  concede holes 6 and 14

  any player with  -3  by their name must concede holes 6,14 and 18

   

  all matches must be completed by due date or will be classed as void 0 points,no excuses,

  if a match is started but not completed for any reason it will be classed as a draw,

  want to keep the comp going.

  If any  player changes tier before he plays his match,he must play as the new tier,

  Always check you playing partners tier before start of play,

  No focus boosts will be allowed during matches. Use of this tool will lead to a disqualification

   

  Arrangement rules are in the information forum please read them

  Players if any problems arranging matches,contact your captain asap and he will contact the other captain so they can sort it,I don’t really want to get involved if I don’t have to but if you need a ruling contact me.

  I have had to step in a few times this round but I rely on the captains to sort any problems from now on,

  Everyone should know the arrangements so I don’t need to publish them again,

  Use your own common sense please.

  Captains can you send me weekly reports please and il update tables day after close of play

  I cant do this without your help

   

  Keep me updated on any tier changes because it will affect the handicap

  What I don’t want is any negative remarks or bad feedback from any players,if you have a problem,see your captain and he can contact the other captain to resolve the issue,

  I don’t want to get involved unless I have to,we are all adults so please act like one,

  The main thing to remember it’s a game and a chance to make some new friends win or lose,

  Go in with this attitude and you will enjoy it,

  I thought it used to be my name until "mystry78" pointed it out that its showing another person(from The Georgian CC who has never been in our CC) during our scheduling for Round 6.

  Group 1 Round 6 Match 1

  Had a very enjoyable match with Baz. Went round the front 9 in -8 each and it was all square at the halfway point. Then I had a big WGT moment. Just kept spinning on the 10th. I had to restart my internet and just couldn't get back into the play screen. Had to restart my computer and modem to get back in.

  After resetting the Back 9, I won the next 5 holes for a 5&4 victory. Although no fault of my own, I feel responsible for the momentum shift with the mishap. 

  Baz was a great gentleman to have a round with and I hope that we meet up for a game soon again.
