Group Match BRIDGESTONE AVENGERS v Las Vegas White Knights.

Just finished my match with Michael (mr6400) and if I am honest went into it fearing the worst. Although I started with a 4 shot advantage Michael is a 53 average Champion player so knew I would have my work cut out especially as after the first hole my shots lead had already reduced from 4 to 2 due to Michaels birdie to my bogey.....Carry on like this and annialation was on the cards.

I managed to stop the rot by making my longest ever putt from 55ft to bridie and half the 2nd and a 15ft putt to birdie the 3rd which was enough to pull back a shot. I sank an 18ft putt for a 3rd consecutive birdie but with Michael also hitting a birdie it left me 3 up.

So a hot start to the game with us both hitting 3 birdies in the first 4 holes. By the turn Michael had hit another 3 birdies to my 1 leaving him 6 under but I had also hit a bogey so we went into the home turn with the match A/S.

The back 9 wasn't so eventful with Michael hitting a further 3 birdies to my 1 with all the other holes played to par.

So guys I am afraid I lost by 2 shots but nevertheless it was an enjoyable game and I walked off the final greenfeeling not to disappointed as I had played well but had lost to a great player.

Cheers Michael for a very enjoyable game, you are a hell of a player.

Well played match with Phil. (DanWidget). He made some long putts on several holes. Even had a few instant replays in the match. Very enjoyable match indeed.

Not sure if CTTH efforts are close enough but I did go ahead and post it in case.

I got within 1' on hole 14 for what it's worth. Hole 12 I was 15' from pin.

Again thanks to everyone for putting on this event. Much appreciated. And shout out to all the sponsors...........
