  I am HORRIBLE at this game.  Mainly my second shot and bunker shots.  Any suggestions?

  Add to that, saves at under 10% and putting that is over 2 per hole....you are making the game tough I kind of think as your fairways hit is not as bad, it may not be the meter speed.

  Are you actually aiming for the greens?

  If so aim for the centre and take bunkers out of play....accept a longer putt.

  Obviously better equipment will help, but something really is amiss. 

  I would be happy to have a game with you and give some pointers if I can.

  I thought of those "Pro"(?) irons - they may be not much better than the Starters, and these need special course management due to their low trajectory, on long approaches, uphill, ...

  Some explication by the OP is necessary.

  Oh come on James. I have seen players with starters equipment score better than you. Ditch the tin foil hat and learn the game.

  Aha! After much deliberation, I believe I've spotted a flaw in your theory again. By spending money to reduce the "randomness" you are implying that the randomness can be influenced, therefore not wholly random. Which one is it, the two statements don't make sense together?

  Around 30 min.ago I finished a round with an excellent Level 100+ Tour Legend, he plays with the WGT G1D balls ( around 60cr ) and a starter putter. Makes me look like I'm using a stick of celery at times.
