    BigCloud:

I am HORRIBLE at this game.  Mainly my second shot and bunker shots.  Any suggestions?

A L75 TP, 4 yr membership and you first post. Congrats all round.

Here's one set of data I use but I see you don't carry a 64 deg wedge. Highly recommended BC and I would go for the L31 Cleveland because I think the wait until you reach L80 maybe some time. I hesitate to offer more because it is so often the case that guys come in here, have a good gripe and then disappear forever, negating all the good advice given by folk and wasting their time.

I would love some tips.  I wrote your clubs down and I'll try to get some.  Thanks for any help.

What budget do you have to spend on equipment?

Most important point.  Really great equipment becomes available to you by levels 80 and 81.   Lvl 78 to lvl 80 is about 20K XP's.  Lvl 81 is about another 13K.  Probably within reach for you before the Nike gear leaves.  Somethings, like the top lvl Cleveland Wedges are available to you now.

    1) and gratis: Use your shiny 3WD as a driver.

    2) Decide whether you want to be promoted in tier, to longer tees, more difficult game and higher costs.
If the answer is NO, avoid any ranked rounds of 67 or 33 or better, don't win credits, don't win matches against higher tiers, just to stay a TP.

    3) Only if the answer is YES, discard all of your wedges and get at least two premium ones, either ATV of 50 - 75 (-100) yards or Cleveland of 60 - 80 (-100) yards. The third one is due later, after 4).

    4) At the right level and your discretion, replace irons and driver.

    Anyway: Have fun!!

Probably best to send atlanti a message. If I see him around I'll let him know.

Bigcloud: Looking at you profile I see that you are a member of a country club but have no friends listed. Country club members are an ideal place to learn the game through a mentorship program. I learned a great deal when I joined a club and was taken under the wing of a higher tiered player.  You club looks like it is invested with new players of lower tiers so it would be difficult to work for you in this case. I also suspect that many of the members are in time zones that make it difficult for you to play with them.

It might be better for you to find a club that meets your current needs and is able to give you practical help as you play rounds with other members. Being able to Skype as you do this is an added benefit since  shots are easier discussed verbally rather than through written chat.

Notes about holes that you play and how to attack them also provide and opportunity to improve. Above all, doing practice rounds and taking multiple mulligans really helps. (Would recommend using free balls as you do these rounds. Really helps with timing and cost so much less.)

Not much - I'm hidden all the time.
