Both my Firefox, and Flash are up to date.
Ok
recently(starting about 5 days ago), my Flash Client(current) started
having a problem. The issue was that the mouse cursor would not click
on where it was. On further experimentation if I moved the cursor to
the right the highlight would appear halfway to the screen to the left,
and If i clicked it would select the highlighted text.
This only
occurred in full screen mode. I tried windowed mode, and things worked
fine even at the biggest screen I could make it.
I was looking at
my flash plug in and thought about trying to re-install it, then saw
that it was in Protected Mode. I turned it off, and low and behold it
fixed all my problems(including many connection related black screens).
So
that is one issue, but then something strange happened. After playing
about 3 hours or so, I suddenly started having those problems again.
I went back to the add-on manager and looked at my flash player and to my amazement, the Flash Protected Mode was enabled again.
I did NOT make that change.. Somehow it got turned on without my permission.
I can reliably reproduce the problem with 100% accuracy on my computer as of 7:02pm EST 10/22/16.
I have only experienced the involuntary shift from non protected mode to protected mode just now, so that will take more testing. However since it happened after several hours of play, that is going to be tougher to reproduce due to time. It happened after a 3-4 hour session of playing multiplayer Alternate Shot Games.
I have been a network programmer as well as a bug tester for EA games, and Microsoft Xbox. My point being is that given a certain issue, and multiple data sets, I am pretty good at pointing the programmers in the right direction as to where the problem is. I may not be right, but I will put you close to the hole.
If you can tell me how to send a video for the Flash Protected Mode issue, I can show it to you in about a 2 minute video as I toggle it back and forth.
