How to play live or upload..

  It would be highly appriciated if players playing live & Geeks could upload three tutorials for both windows & mac users  :

  1. How to play live with software links and all if you don't have high end P.C or Laptop & one does not care about any add on features just basic setup for non geeks.. 

  2. If don't have that high speed internet connection where you can stream..

  Software to use to record keeping cpu usage controlled & how to compress those videos before uploading them & how to upload them. ( F.Y.I : 1G.B data costs me 4$  where i am stationed) 

  3. For high end users :

  Best way to stream live & if not streaming to record & upload if one Has high end connection & Top of the line Gaming System..

  1) Download OBS Studio
  

  2) Create a Twitch and YouTube account. It's a personal preference as to which you would prefer to stream with. I sometimes experience a lot of stream lag in YouTube so I go with Twitch.

  3) Setting up your stream:

       a) In Twitch, click on your profile name, then "Dashboard". From there click on "stream key".

       b) Open OBS and click on File then settings. Click on "Stream" and choose
  "Twitch" under the Service option. Enter the stream key from the twitch dashboard into the stream key area of OBS.

      c) At the start up screen of OBS  you will see two boxes (Scenes & Sources). Don't worry about scenes. RIGHT click on Sources and select "Display Capture". Now just hit "Start Streaming" and you are all set! 

  Uploading from Twitch to YouTube:

  • Go into your Twitch settings and click on "Archive previous broadcast". Your streams will be saved for 30 days. Next, go into settings and click on connections. You will then select YouTube and connect the two accounts.

  • Go into Video Manager, under the video you want to export to YouTube click on "More" and "Export". Your video will then be uploaded to your YouTube page.

  If you are not able to stream because of PC issues ... I would recommend downloading bandicam and just uploading your videos to YouTube after. With YouTube you can simply just drop and drag files to upload them.

  Thanks for the input Jason..

  I have tried bandicam earlier but file size is quite large even after making chages in bandicam to reduce file sizeand  for me to upload getting speed of like 2-3mbps & uploading 1 round with current settings will cost me like 3$ lol..

  So is there any software one can use to compress recordings and then upload..

  I'd be very curious to know how this works out for you extendinfra.  I've tried live streaming in the past and my meter was beyond laughable.  Even when I do something like run skype or play MP (single play is normally very good!) my meter is problematic.  I've had some limited success using Ocam to simply record and upload but even then it's a crap shoot.

  For every 1 video I get uploaded (with good golf/meter) there are 7 or 8 that I have to forfeit due to lag spikes, meter jumps etc.  Anyways, if anyone (Young46), or others has suggestions to get a stable machine while streaming I'd be all ears.

  My computer specs are a bit older but not obsolete?  I have an AMD FX 6300 Six-core 3.5ghz processor with 8 MB of Ram with Windows 7.  My internet speed is 9ms Ping, 132.95 Mbps (DL), and 12.31 Mbps (Up).
