    ScottHope:

I don't know why TP would change the filetype from png to jpeg unless the png filesize was too big.

Images stored on TP may be deleted if not viewed for 90 days.

TinyPic are owned by Photobucket whom I have abandoned recently due to the fact that they reduced all my images that were over 1024 pixels down to that size. Which reduced the image quality to a level that I considered unacceptable.

Do ppl actually store s.hit that is important on.. 'tinternet'  < .. ( peter kay ) ?

glad to be a dinosaur tho heading towards the Cenozoic period ;-))

Tam, the image on your blog that is missing is a PhotoBucket image. I have many PhotoBucket images on my profile too that are missing. This is because PhotoBucket are doing maintenance that is overrunning badly, plus they are shyte, but I won't get into that now, lol.  : )

I'm quite sure that it's impossible to agree with another's comment with any more vehemence than I do  with yours concerning the Bucket, Mr Hope.

My anger with PhotoBucket is fuelled by my disappointment. I used them quite happily for about 5 years, but I think their popularity made it difficult for them to maintain the services they offered for their free accounts. I base that assumption on the fact that every time I logged in, I was confronted by an advert suggesting that I upgraded to a better account type for $30 per year. In addition to that, all my images that were larger than 1024 pixels, were reduced to that size which degraded the quality to something that I considered unacceptable. So I no longer upload anymore images to PB.  : (
