    Jay,

I'm always open to playing with and learning from folks at all different levels.  If the spot's still open, I'm interested.  Not to mention,  free or cheap tourneys are always good, too.

    Cheers,

    Bob

Bob - you were the first to respond, so I sent a friend request and invite.  Thanks for your interest - we've got some great things going on.

    Jay

NOTE - two other folks requested invites, one privately and one here, so I'll keep y'all in mind for the next open slot.

I have one slot that just opened up in the club.  If you've never joined a club and are even thinking about it, do yourself a favor and request an invite!

We have ALL levels of competitors.

Here are the types of things we offer, which I think makes our club the best in the game:

    - fantastic and communicative membership; member feedback is always considered for club improvements; fun off-topic discussions about our lives

    - FREE tourneys ALL the time: leveled AND non-leveled  - compete on equal footing with others in the club, or play the "normal" way

    - cheap pay tourneys that are specifically TIERED to make the playing field and competition more level - 9 holes, closest to the hole, 18 holes, you name it!

    - regular pay tourneys called "Majors" that invite everyone in the club - always at a full 18 hole course and over the period of 7 days

    - FREE tourneys that award prizes through WGT gifting

    - **NEW** - cross-club competition

    You're a trip, BeechFL.  :)

    BeechFL:

Only join this Country Club if you cannot break par.   Just look at their country club home page and scroll through the members, last time I did I think maybe 5 or 6 had averages under 72.

Um, yes, PLEASE DO: http://www.wgt.com/clubs/the_country_club_of_atlanta/default.aspx <<- because we have 18 members out of 50 with below 72 average.  We welcome them with open arms, as we did you.  We also welcome hacks and amateurs.

The truth is, BeechFL, our club defended you against internal allegations of cheating in your very first tourney with us, which caused one well-liked member to resign.

At the time you went on the public forums here and badmouthed what we were trying to do, we had SIX tourneys going on.  Guess how many were handicapped?  ONE.

We have just finalized our proprietary leveling system, which we're going to use for some tourneys, and guess how many are using it?  ONE tourney out of FIVE.

    Thanks for playing.

    Jay

    JayInAtlanta:
At the time you went on the public forums here and badmouthed what we were trying to do,

Go back and look at that post and read it.  I NEVER EVER MENTIONED WHAT COUNTRY CLUB I WAS UNHAPPY WITH. DO YOU NOT GET THAT?  At the time I posted that, there was NO information about how you intended on using handicaps.  I assumed, wrongly I now admit, that you were going to use them for every tourney. OK MY BAD I ADMIT I AM WRONG ABOUT THAT.  But you are absolutely WRONG about me badmouthing your club, again I NEVER mentioned your name or your club in my post.  I only said I didn't like giving a player 21 strokes on a computer simulated game.  WHAT"S wrong with that on my part?  It's not badmouthing anything, it's simply saying I didn't like what was going on and I wanted to find a club that better suited me.  That is my prerogative buddy.  I'm sorry you think I was badmouthing your club, that isn't the case.  Read the following and tell me how that is badmouthing your club?

The following is what I posted under the other topic "I need to join a Country Club"

    Beechfl:

"I too would like to become a member of another country club.  The club that I am currently a member of is trying to come up with some sort of handicap system to enable the players that shoot 85 to have a chance at beating players that shoot 62.  That's the problem with this world, everybody feels like they are entitled to win without putting forth any effort.  I play real golf and I know giving strokes is all part of the game, I carry a 7 handicap and I usually have to give strokes to my buddies but that is real golf.  We play from the same tees and I can hit it further than them so I don't mind it.  But I will not give 21 strokes on a computer game to someone that is a level 80 tour pro with a driver that outperforms my driver by over 20 yds as well as the other clubs in their bag.  I mean is it really fair to make Kiawah a par 64 for me and a par 85 to someone else with better equipment?"

Ok now Jay and Hoola, maybe my vision is bad  but I do not see any mention of a SPECIFIC country club.  I don't understand how you think I am badmouthing your club, I didn't like the direction I thought you were heading in, it's my choice and right to want to join another club.

I've been with the Club for two weeks now and I'm enjoying myself immensely. I have met some great people and played a number of different types of tournaments in that short amount of time (wish I was putting better though).

ANYONE would be lucky to be included in this Country Club.

    Thanks for including me Jay.
