    borntobesting:

I would wait and see what if anything WGT replaces the Nike irons with. Now that we have Adams we might get some Adams irons or maybe finally get some Callaway irons.

The issue is the "if anything part".  What if there's nothing.  I had been eyeing the Nike's at lvl 85 before the discount b/c they fit with what I have now meter speed wise.  Beyond that lvl 90ish is too far away so now that they are 5 levels sooner, I'm shooting for them.

Assuming they don't replace them, are there alternatives that are better/equal to the Nike's at lvl 80/81?  I don't think so...

They are the best out of these 3 certainly.

NIKE Vapor Fly Pro Iron Set (L80+)
TaylorMade RocketBladez Iron Set (Steel) (L79+)
PING G25 Iron Set (Steel) (L83+)

Simple math can tell you if you'll get to 80/81 in time to buy them.

What is  your current CDP bonus XP at?

Play 18 hole tournaments either from your CC or WGT...you get more XP for those. 400 per

Consider buying and using a 40% XP boost from the pro shop if the math tells you it'll be close...

edit:  looking at your last rounds played what you need to do is play more than that.  You haven't played in Nov yet, but yet you're worried about reaching 80 before the end of Nov...

That's my favourite kind of math!

Indeed!  If only all math was simple.  :)

Was wondering how you like the now lvl 80/81 driver/3 wood?

    Sorry for the late reply.

I'm a rather big fan of the Nike Driver and 3WD. I bought them a while back with the same irons, as a defacto set and love them. At 90 I bought the R11 set primarily for the RSi2 irons. However after 40-50 rounds with that driver and 3wd I became frustrated with their lack of forgiveness compared to the Nike Driver/3WD and switched back, as finding fairways made life much easier.

Granted they are the same meter as the RSi2s (the R11 driver/3WD that is) so I may switch back now that I have adjusted better, but the Nike is always there for stress free fairways.

It's the same set, just the required tier level was lowered.

It's all good, and thanks for the info.

Forgiveness is a must for me b/c my dings are all that regular.
