    Currently very close to L96.

Playing L70 Versa #1 and like it but looking to upgrade.

Was thinking about either the L96 Versa or the L101/(96) Nike M1.

For those that have used both, Is the Nike worth the extra 700 credits?

How much better are both of the higher level putters than the L70 Versa?

I am not trying to "buy" game. I do have the credits and like to play with the best. I have scoured the forums but have had a hard time finding recent information. If there is a thread that answers this please link.

    TIA

Ive had all 3 putters at one point and time and for me the L96+ Versa is the best . But thats for me . I didnt like the Nike putter because I couldnt feel it when putting funny as it may sound . So after a month of playing with it I went back to my 96+ Versa and with no regrets .

Others will swear by the Nike M1 as the best putter ever and others will tell you its the Versa . So you may just have to try them both as rentals and then decide . Personally I hate wasting credits on rentals but this will be an exception . Your putter is different from all of the other clubs in your bag . In fact you will use it more than any other club that you have .

So you will have to find the one that fits your putting style the best . As a miss the ding player even when putting the Versa is a champ . The L96+ is the last putter you will ever need to buy everything else is about reading the greens and breaks properly .But with the Versa you can putt either way be it miss the ding or hitting the ding its tops .

To me the M1 is a more ding style putter in spite of the fact that it has the same increments as the Versa thats about it .Now if thats your style of putting then again you can get that using the Versa . So as you can see Im a big Versa fan and the only way I would give up my 96+ Versa is if WGT gives me a better one and the M1 isnt it .

Hope this helps you out but again you may have to rent them both and then get what works best for you . Its your game so play it well . :-)

I'm with Lonnie on this issue. I've tried almost every high level putter in the pro shop. Couldn't get used to the Nike at all. Did ok with the Spider and the Versa. Settled for the level 70 versa.

I'm not a great putter no matter what I use (I don't read greens very well)..so the versa does me fine.

You currently have top kit and you are a solid player. If you are comfortable with what you have, I'm not sure changing just for the sake of it is wise. A higher level putter doesn't always translate to a "better" putter for your style and comfort.

Just ask those folks using the 400,000 credit gold putters...lol

I agree ct, Just use a putter that fits your ability to get most out of the one you have

Should have stated in my first post that I am a ding putter. Occ off ding on short hard breakers.

Appreciate Lonnie answering my question. I wanted to hear from anyone who has used both and their thoughts.

I went through the putter precision thread and Bhoese did test the L 96 Versa using his standardized methodology and it does seem to be very precise grouping of putts. As far as I could tell the L101 Nike has not been tested using that method.

I appreciate others advice that I don't need another putter but that was not really the question that I was asking.

If anyone else has used both, I would love to hear what you have to say. My window of opportunity for the Nike likely will be short. So, I will have to act quickly once I reach 96 if I am to buy the high end Nike putter.
