Signed up & played the first round of the Wk 46 of the Bethpage multi round and was surprised to find myself at Pebble beach, so I thought that maybe round 2 would be at Bethpage, Nope rnd 2 will also be at Pebble beach

Not a major problem really - but I was just wondering is this a mistake or is there something I'm not getting, like is there a new code or nickname for courses or competitions like - "lets go play St Andys" really means a round at Kiawah  ??

I just want to make sure that the brain fog of old age is not setting in early :)

The reason is fog around the Bay Area ;)

Those misleading descriptions have a long "tradition" here, first only rarely, then more frequently, almost regular since one January, 2014? or 2015?

They have mixed up every possible item: Courses, front/back, 9/18, even/uneven, green speeds, perhaps also fees in RGs/brackets?

In extremo, premium tourneys have been cancelled...

Hey, seeing as I have your attention Alosso, and I know you know "stuff", I was wondering if you could answer a query for me -

Are all Stroke Play Tournaments considered / recorded as ranked rounds. I am just wondering because I was looking at a players profile (looking for inspiration) and I noticed in his stats, under the tournament section that it shows hes has about 200 MORE "Stroke Play Tournaments Entered" than he has "Total Ranked Rounds Played"

Is it possibly just because he has been entering tournaments & either not p[laying them (or not completing them), or just another WGT glitch

    I would think of this:

but I dunno - stats related subject are boring me, in general and here in particular.

Must be someone playing exclusively single play or RGs, and quitting a lot. In contrary, in my stats, the relation is invers: Twice as many rounds than tournaments entered - I played a lot of unlimited.

    But this is peculiar:

    Premed:
Are all Stroke Play Tournaments considered [...] ranked rounds.

According to the FAQs, stroke tournament rounds are NOT included in the ranked rounds ;)

But, since they all count in the same way towards the average, I'm guessing that the wording may be a tad lazy ;))

Gotta read them FAQ's, could have sworn WGT tourneys were considered ranked rounds

They are. If the FAQ's state they're not, the FAQ's are wrong. To verify this, play a WGT stroke play tourney that you haven't entered. Before entering and playing, check your RR's, then  check again after playing that tourney. But, you do have to finish the tourney. If you enter a WGT unlimited, it'll show as a RR added every time you play and finish it.

They appear and take effect the same way, but the word is separating them. The word may be wrong, at least I rate it as misleading. Still we can't ignore it.

So i did just as you said, took a snap shot of my stats, played  Wk 46 Nation 9 Hole Single Play ( & played badly coz i was rushing) & lo & behold WGT Stroke Tournaments ARE recorded as ranked rounds just as I suspected, I'm afraid you were wrong on this one Alosso. I am always suspicious of the info that WGT puts out in things like FAQ's as I don't think they update these at all to reflect changes as they occur.

Now does anybody know for certain (i.e. from their own experience, not something they read somewhere) if Country Club tourneys or RG's are considered ranked rounds

With respect to the average, they are.

In addition, you might ask CS. I had the first two good answers lately ;)

Must be the language barrier, I'm not sure WTF you are on about. I never asked anything about averages, I originally asked were WGT stroke play tourneys considered Ranked Rounds,- then you quoted the FAQs & spoke about a missing word of some sort.

Now you are banging on about averages again and what two good answers did you have ???

Look, its as simple as this - If you are asked a question & you don't know the answer then it is OK to say "I don't know" - otherwise any other guess Or waffle answer is of little use.

I appreciate that you went to the effort of replying & all but keep the ball on the ground.
