up-size pc monitor help play?

  Presently "play" on a 17" monitor, if measured across, diagonal is 19". Many on sale now up to 27" does the up-size actually help the play of the game?  thanks.

  I would think so, I play on a 21" diagonal,  on Maxthon bowser I use the zoom feature ( not the wgt 1...that 1 gets fuzzy ). 1.5x reading glasses from the dollar store helps too :). This getting old stuff ain't for sissies lol.

  the size of monitor dont matter

  its the  speed of thought and finger that matters

  I've often wondered what the meter is like on a bigger screen.  Assuming you go from a 17" to something around 30" that must make the meter a lot longer. 

  Does the speed stay the same and it takes longer to reach the ding line or is the time between releasing and reaching the ding line constant and the meter therefore moves faster?

  I'm quite keen to get something bigger but my trusty Dell 19" refuses to die.  The price of monitors is just insane these days, I remember when 17" was a dream, cost as much as an entire system and was the size and weight of a small car*.

  *OK, not quite but I'm sure some of you remember carrying a 19" CRT monitor up stairs.

  I use an 36" TV as my 'main' monitor (I have 3 'monitors' connected) and you are quite right, the meter appears to be much longer and although I haven't done any measurements it appears that the meter speed stays the same and it takes slightly less time to reach the ding line, but because the view is so much bigger I personally find it easier to time.

  Hi

  I switched last year from a pc monitor to a 40 inch tv screen which for me is fantastic. It took me a few weeks to get used to putting on the big screen but once I had sorted the putting out my game has improved leaps and bounds and my overall game experience and enjoymeny is much improved. Honestly if you can try it on a tv screen its absolutely splended!

  that is quite true, but my question was does the size make the play better.or read,. easier to improve your performance, such as being able to hit the ding better, and reading the putt line.  more accuracry, and so on?   my nickle.

  add to your getting old list:  eyesight, slow muscle response, attention span with less than a 60 second shot clock, doing (trying to do) all the math in your head.  i'm sure there are many more pleasant aspects to growing old!   lol.   my nickle...

  i'm using a 27" and the greens are much easier to read. the bigger monitor ofcourse makes the whole game easier to see and therefore easier to play. i really cannot say whether or not the meter takes longer to get to the ding line or not but again, easier to see = easier to ding/see
