I played using a 39" TV for a bit and found the meter speed was the same, in that it took the same time to travel the whole distance.  So the meter appears faster on the TV than on my 17" monitor.   It was easier to pick the spot you wanted to mouse click before the ding with it bigger.

I think conveyorguy means the fullscreen feature Andy. Try the F11 key, if it doesn't work at first, try clicking on a bit of the browser that isn't the flash window (highlighted in yellow below), then try again.

my thank you's to conveyorguy, newcastleb, turfsand, and phred952 for your helpful responses.  it does indeed appear that a larger monitor will help me in being a better player.  i will plan on a 27" or bigger as my finances allow.  my nickle.

A 23 up really helps, but the bigger you go the more of an adjustment it is....after you do adjust you will be glad you did it....

However after you do forget about playing on a laptop again LOL

I play on an ancient 15" Trinitron E240. When it first came out it was the gamers machine. As long as your graphic card could take the stress, it could be overclocked ginormously. I did find that the green dots seemed smoother when I upped the refresh rate to 80, no effect at all on meter speed. Anyway well below what would be possible. Um. Let's just say I don't want to fry ANOTHER card.

+1.  I only did it while I was having a vision problem.  Went back to the laptop asap, as there is no easy to drag that big a$$ TV around with you.
