    Hi

I am fairly new to WGT and purchased the level 47 Nike irons which I think seem to be okay.

However I read that the Ping G25 level 59 irons are game changers with regards trajectory etc.

I cant see a grade for trajectory on the Nike irons I currently use so basically are they as good as the G25, or am I best to change to the pings once I get to level 59?

Also I have a hybrid Ping club, what is the advantage of using that over my 3 wood? Maybe I am missing out on something with these hybrid clubs?

Am considering adding another cleveland 588 to my bag, any advice more experienced players can give me would be most welcome.

    Thank you

The G25's are good as they are higher trajectory.......but are they game changers? No.

If you have the credits/cash to spend, then they will improve your game a little.

You would get much better bang for your buck getting a third wedge. Dump the hybrid.....you get far better use from your wedges.

The 3W in your bag will need to be replaced as you tier up, but unless you do have the coin to spend, I would only add the third wedge until you hit legend.....then you will need more fire power.

In the meantime, learn all the shots and you will reap the benefits in the longer term. Above all have fun...it is a game.

Good advice from Alanti. But the hybrid does have its uses. If your drives find the rough a lot, the hybrid will useful where a 3wood usually won't be. But a 60 degree wedge will probably get more use, and fill in the void between your two present wedges.

I really appreciate you taking the time to reply and thank you for your detailed reply!

Its a very challenging game- I only just realised as my grade improves the tee distances get longer too!

    Thanks

As above I appreciate your reply.

My driving is okay I think, its my putting that is holding me back despite a new putter which I thought would be the answer but no.

Thanks for your help, going to experiment with your suggestions and hopefully take a shot or 2 of my scores!

You need to work on your short game to get closer to the pin . Learn the pucnh pitch and flop shots with your wedges and short irons . The punch can make approach shots deadly and the pitch and flop are sweet for around the greens and short approach shots .

The L59+ G25s are better due to the fact you get better trajectory and also 10+ yards added to the pw . Get them when you get there as they are great clubs . They will only be a game changer for you after you learn how to use and play with them . The 3 wedge set up is what the majority of players use with the pw you will have 4 wedges and with above mentioned shots added to your short game you will play just fine . Oncde you learn how to get closer to the pin then the putts become easier .

Hope this helps and good luck with your game .
