I've got to increase my distance on my drives.  Not long before I move from Tour Pro to Master Tier.  I have to do this.  I have a trusty K15 and I'm really not looking forward to the increased meter speed of either of these clubs.  I know there will be a learning curve....but I would like to know from users of these clubs.  Which is better??  there is only a 5 yard difference in distance 270 to 275.....but the difference in Precision is large....and the forgiveness is only a half.

So which should I go with??

Forgiveness. The R9 is easy to hit and will forgive your missed dings better. How accurate do you really need to be off the tee? Besides, you'll be surprised at how quickly you get used to the meter.

Here's exactly what you're going to get, CM .. differing opinions. I have to disagree with Jim on this one.

The R9 was the first master driver I bought, and I used it for over a year. Longer was nice, but my fairways hit % took a major dump from where I was with the Rapture driver.

A few months ago, I bought the G10 ....it was almost a night & day difference. It's just my opinion ( and maybe a few others'), but the from the start, the G10 seemed to be MUCH less wild on those slight mishits. I always play for the ding and ,with the R9,  that little early/late hit was usually an adventure.

Both drivers carry about the same 260ish yards. The R9 has a little lower flight and rolls out a bit more. The G10's higher flight makes a little more controlled landing, but is affected a little more by the wind.

I have to agree with jeff. I have both drivers and i think the G-10 is more forgiving but i forced myself to get better with the R-9. I use my G-10 once in awhile. once you get use to the R-9 you will like it better than the G-10. just plan on missing a few fairways till you get the hang of it.

Stick with the G10 you just got........ Get the L80 R9 (cannon), when you get there, this is a very good club... and then then the R11..L88...which is just fantastic.

Not sure about the exact points ya need, but I think depending on the amount of games you play, getting to L80 is quick. Getting to L88 from there is a lifetime...or feels like it...lol

    Good Luck

    The 275-yard R9 is fantastic - I outdrive players with the 270-yard G10 by 20-30 yards a lot.

Why not hold what you have and get the R11 when you hit level 88.

The R9 mentioned above is a good club as well.  I bought it before the R11 came out, I should have known better.  The R9 (8.0) is as long as the R11 into the wind but with no wind or downwind the R11 is 10 to 15 yards longer with pretty much the same meter speed.
