I was wondering if WGT had ever considered selling balls by time (for example, an unlimited number of balls for 1 hour, 3 days, or 1 week) rather than how they do it now, selling by sleeve.

It seems to me that they should be able to do this. They already sell at least one of the accessories by time (the XP boost). Certainly, they could come up with a similar pricing plan for the balls that would be attractive to both sides (the player as well as WGT).

Additionally, it would eliminate one of the complaints people have about lost balls due to wayward shots. Moreover, people would be willing to try more "risky" shots because they wouldn't fear losing a ball. They would only have to worry about the penalty stroke if they can't pull of the shot.

    Just a thought.

It wont work when you buy a sleeve they are yours to play as you see fit . It also wont stop complaints about lost balls or wayward shots  . I dont try high risk shots with the free ball even in practice mode . Once you learn to take bunkers and water out of play as much as possible then lost balls become a thing of the past .

Also learn your clubs and what you can and cant do with them and you will have fewer problems as well . If I had to buy balls under these conditions then I would only play with the free ball as this would be a total waste of credits .

I'm suggesting it as alternative way of purchasing, not as a replacement. I think purchasing by sleeve would still be a choice.

    Other complaints will emerge:

"I only had a few shots left to play but time was over - why were I charged once more?"

"Game over but a lot of payed time left - why do I have to forfeit it?"

    No doubt, you're correct.

I still think it might be an interesting approach, depending on how they would set the pricing.

Pricing will be "We want your best - for ourselves!"

And nothing seems better for us than the current "pay by stroke".
