There is a player on here who has been hospitalized for quite some time. ( now in rehab......no, not drugs ).Myself and another person I regularly play with knew that he was on the bones of his *** so we both gifted a number of sleeves of balls to him ( he was using fairly cheap balls at the time ).This person was extremely grateful for the giftings and it does give you a warm feeling.

To be honest Paul, I do not foresee this happening.

We asked WGT for Andyson to be made a TC before.....it got ignored.....

We asked WGT for a tournament to honor him.....it got ignored....

We created multiple threads.......so WGT jumped on the bandwagon......eventually....

WE did get a brilliant tournament....organised by and for the community and we remembered Dennis the way we wanted to......

In my mind and in those of many, Andyson IS far better than a gay title WGT can bestow on anyone....Andyson is OUR champion........The WGT Enquirer Champion if you wish

And I hope and am pretty sure Dennis WILL approve of an event organised by Wayne.

Neither do I but I'm going to carry on reminding them for as long as I'm still able to log on to the game.

I'm sure I am not the only one that has had this thought cross my mind and it may have already been suggested and I missed it, but........

What if we, the community, perhaps represented by a few dozen reputable forum regulars, perhaps not........started a web site and created our own WGT Hall of Fame? Inductees voted on annually by the community, maybe use a system like the baseball Hall of Fame uses or something similar. Have a hot linked logo created that we could all put on our profile page or something like that?

Recognition of excellence, dedication, longevity and worthiness to the game and the community obviously means little to nothing to WGT itself, so, like the great tournament that just ended, it is likely up to us to give such honor it's deserved meaning and recognition.

I am not computer savvy in this area but would be happy to help in setting up criteria and guidelines for it. Scott and Paul come to immediate mind as a few of those here that are capable on the tech end.

I am sure there are pros and cons alike to the idea but just bouncing out the thought. What says you?

    TP

I am also kind of thinking that to keep the players playing and the coffers flowing, that WGT will sooner than later open the Tour Champion tier to all and it will eventually be flooded with members. Would hate to see the likes of someone like Andyson getting lost in there. He deserves a more prominent recognition.

^^^Sounds like a fine idea to me. I'm not the man for web design , although I would be happy to make pictures and do some write ups etc.

Sounds like a good idea. Still, it would be a bit of work for someone to set it up.
