No sooner do you post this and it's done. Lizzie and I were playing St Andy's back 9 earlier. Now, she'll probably shoot me for this, but I just want to prove your point. We were on the par 5 14th. After a perfect drive (trying to make you look good too Lizzie) her 95% 3w 2nd shot ran up the left side of the bank onto the green... and kept running left... and running... and running... and running. Now we all know that most of the greens at St Andy's are double greens and the holes they represent add up to 18. So, she actually finished just off the left side of the 4th green (as viewed from the 14th fairway), part of the 4th's fairway. At this point, got to say, would have been one hell of a putt if it had stayed on the green, with, I think, a bunker in the way. Well, as there are no cameras over there, poor Lizzie had to play the shot in reverse view. She got all confused (no sexist comments now please, like "what would you expect, she's a woman" - there's no need for them) and got a warning as her timer ran down.
She did eventually play her shot and got her par. I got a birdie.
So, if you want to play shots in reverse view, hit your shot onto (or through) the adjoining green.
