trying to enter a tournament is impossible and entering into a closest to the hole competition isn't allowed due to my age.

surely wgt must create some tournaments were under 18's are allowed otherwise the option is to play a stroke play round and trying to find an opponent for any other modes of the game is near impossible

    Help?

Okay first of all.... WHOA... when did the minimum age for use of the site drop to 13??  (Check the T&C... it's there)  Not that I have any issue with that, I think it's great, as long as these youngsters act accordingly.... (no reference to you Mr. itaughtpoulter)

And if you dig a bit further all the skilled comps. are 18+ or age of majority (whichever is higher) which is also good.

Guess my point is, when did this happen?? It would have been nice to know.... I'm sure a lot of the old timers remember this debate!

And maybe that explains the increase in nonsensical forum posts as of late......

The only suggestion I can make is that you join or create a country club, then you can create your own free tournaments or join other free tournaments.  I'm sure there will be many clubs that would be willing to take you under their wing.  Not that you need it, after all you did teach one of the better golfer on tour today..... ;^)

    Good Luck!

We do now allow 13-18 year old players to make WGT accounts. The only restriction is that these players are not eligible to participate in tournaments, in part due to the varied laws regulating the activity of minors online. We hope that this change in policy will give families more opportunity to learn and play together.

Nice move. The game is wholesome, only the playing for $$$ part would be worrisome.

This raises a concern though, for those accounts made for minors, is there free credits given out for advancing in tiers? If so then would those players not be able to enter an MPC and play for credits? This is essentially gambling and is illegal. So in turn WGT is promoting under-age gambling. Way to go guys!!!!

I don't see why they shouldn't get it.

Not really.... looking through the T&C and some of the tournament rules it looks like they will be restricted to playing non "skilled gaming" modes of play.  Shouldn't be a concern, unless someone lies when they sign up.... but then again that could have happened before the change too, right?  ;^)

Not to mention ads that could be seen as promoting the underage use of e-ciggs, and Ketel-one Vodka. icon, what in the world are your bosses thinking?

WGT may need to change their advertising strategy, or they may see a lawsuit looming. Those could be some very big charges filed against WGT. I hope for the best.
