I wonder if gaoerfuqui knows this.............

He re-registered with a different alias shortly after his original exit. I don't think WGT would allow him to re-utilize the old alias.

Not to mention ads that could be seen as promoting the underage use of e-ciggs and, Ketel-one Vodka. icon, what in the world are your bosses thinking?

Good point Richard, I wonder if they planned for this, and adjusted for age specific advertising?

I wonder too, if WGT will promote the fact that 13+ is now allowed, and give those who registered with a fake DOB a chance to go back and re-enter the correct one?

WGT - if you are going to allow under 18's, then you need to be more stringent with certain things on the site, like profile pics and use of language (including words sounding similar to something obscene and asterisks instead of letters) in this forum.  Many of the 13 to18-year-olds will not be playing on here with their parents knowledge and so you need to ensure the site is respectable... which it currently is not.

So that means the burden of raising responsible, sensible kids now falls on WGT?

Maybe they could offer a free nose wiping service too.

Ah Come on Jim, You know Mio is right. They could atleast put in a system of moderating profile pictures before allowing them to be used, somewhat like they do when someone first starts posting in the forums. Also could be a simple filter system put in place for posting and chatting.

It's just common knowledge that these practices have to be put in place when dealing with minors as to not bring up liability issues from parents.

Time out. When did the responsibility for raising your children cease to be that of the parent? This isn't Walt Disneyworld. Liability issues?? Your kid peeps an offensive (to some) profile pic of a set of knockers and the parents have a liability claim? Something's wrong there.

FWIW, I haven't seen anything here I couldn't see on regular TV. Taste has nothing to do with it-you'll always get clowns pushing the envelope in that area.

This is essentially gambling and is illegal. So in turn WGT is promoting under-age gambling.

WGT may need to change their advertising strategy, or they may see a lawsuit looming. Those could be some very big charges filed against WGT. I hope for the best.

So if I follow your brilliant logic, ABC, CBS, NBC, and a host of cable channels "may see a lawsuit looming", because they advertise liquor and beer and other adult products? Get a grip!

You people fail to realize all those netowrks COVER THEIR REAREND against such liabilities by using a thing we like to call "Tv Ratings", you know the little TV 14 or TV MA thing that pops up on EVERY show you watch on those networks, which they HAD to do because parents WERE bringing up lawsuits against the networks and the outcome of those lawsuits were a rating system. Therefore the least WGT would need to do is setup some sort of disclaimer for minors.

And what sort of disclaimer would you put forth? Warning: You might see some of those things your mom has. Or Warning: You might read some words that you heard at school today. When does this nonsense move on to the warning about G.I.R.L.S., or pedophiles that might be playing, for that matter.

I'd like to see a little documentation before I believe a parent's lawsuit spawned TV ratings.
