Having been glued to the masters all weekend, i noted the different clubs the pro's use for particular shots, and seeing as this is ment to be a golf simulator, it could be a good idea to introduce a new set of irons reflecting this but only available to legends.  I'm not being biast towards legends, but if a hack/amateur tried to hit same club, doubt they would get as close to pro's in real life.

These are some of the club yardages i found which nearly every one was acheiving:

4 iron would be hit 230 yards.

    9 iron 150 yards

    Sand wedge, 125 yards.

Not to mention Tiger hitting 3 wood 279 yards, most others 260 +. I know 3 wood would be unrealistic to change as it is in driver territory, but why couldn't a new set of clubs be introduced to reflect these true yardages.  We need very strong tailwind to get as close as we could to these yardages at present, but there was hardly any wind for the pro's this weekend to acheive the yardages above.

It shows the clubs we are using here are 20 yards short on average for each club lengh.  This would deffinately give legends a boost and it would reflect the true realism of this "golf simulator"..Just a suggestion?

I wrote " rating " but didn't get any thoughts from others so far. Club weight instead of club speed,... same thing. I think it would be great to see those changes like you do. Big up.

    Cheers

Hopefully Chris,  we will see some new irons to match the back Tees'.  But who knows if this will happen or not?  I have talked to a lot of Legends that would love to have a new iron set introduced into the game.   Maybe if we keep talking about it here in the forums; we will be heard??

You would think, with the changes of last year;  we would have already seen a couple new sets for us longer hitting fellas by now?

The R11 Level 85 3 Wood will hit 260-270 pretty consistantly.

The G10 PW rated for 115 yrds will go 121-122 with low wind conditions and no backspin.

The G10 3 Iron rated for 210 will do 220-225 with low wind no backspin.

These yardages are all with the Legend Z ball.

Having said that, I would love to see a new set of TM RazorHawk irons introduced as Legend only clubs. Priced at about 200 credits : )

I agree, we need some new irons that match the performance and meter speed of the R11 woods! Some new wedges that have that same meter speed would be nice also.

Well Bubba Watson can hit a drive 375 and a sand wedge 150 or so.  I don't think you can pick out individaul players but use the tour average.  One thing to consider though is that the pros have GIR and Fairways hit around 70% or less.  On WGT 80% is fairly normal.  Also a tour pro makes 50% of his putts from 8 feet, what do you think the percentage on WGT is....80% or more.  It is important to keep the distance tuned down on here or you will get TWO type scores.

Callaway would be a logical choice for new irons, given they already have a presence here with the ball. Plus, look at the number of empty dots on the best iron set here-the 15s-they ain't all full yet.  :-)

Have to agree here.... unless there is a major precision drop for these clubs or something like... oh I don't know.... lie effect gets introduced, it'll start getting further from realistic than approach it.  Remember there are finite possibilities in virtual golf vs. infinite possibilities in real life.

As I understood, the longest driving average among the pros is just above 300 yards, and in WGT that can be achieved pretty consistently with distance balls. That said, I was stunned to see how far these guys were hitting their irons in the Masters. Also a reminder that scores like -7, or 4 or 5 straight birdies, really do happen. But not -10 or -14, as on the WGT.

Generally I think it should be where par is an excellent score.
