clash 37 Bad Scoring

    Our Club (Lawrenceville) won a clash 380-298, but was declared the loser.  Is there a sub-level of scoring that makes that result valid?

    It's shown in the rules:

    Highest single player gets 100 points extra before the winner receives 500.

    We had 2 players scoring:

    #1 266 pts

    #2 114 pts

    total 380

    The other team had 1 player

    #1 298 pts

    total 380

     

    The other team was declared winner and got 600 additional points.  It is understood that 100 pts would be awarded to the team with the player scoring highest.  However, that seems unfair to award a win based on bonus points outside of play. That clearly must be a bug.

    Was the score 898-380.  It was explained perfectly.  It is not a bug.  It is the way it works.

    298+100 deemed winner+500, you lose.  Simple

    As only one player participated from the other club, he was deemed the highest scoring player.

    Personally I would not waste any time playing a clash, they are designed to encourage participation, and churning out rounds. Nothing to do with skill.

    Scoring as below:

    What are Participation, Win and High Score Bonuses?

    The Participation Bonus is based on the percentage of players in the club that play in the Clash. The Participation Bonus points will be added after the Clash winner has been determined.

    • 0 - 24.9%: 0 points
    • 25 - 49.9%: +40 points
    • 50 - 74.9%: +100 points
    • 75 - 99.9%: +175 points
    • 100%: +300 points

    The club that wins a clash receives a win bonus (+500 points) that is added to their score for the event. The High Score bonus (+100 points) goes to the club with the highest-scoring player, and is counted before the winner of a Clash is decided.
