How about an auto putt facility?

I know, it would be against the spirit of the game, but look how many cards are spoilt by incorrectly judging the meter.

I would suggest this facility only kicks in when the player is within 18 inches of the hole.

In real life golf, missing a put from a foot or less is probably immeasurable, so why not implement something like that?

If you miss from 18 inches for par or better, you get an award... the Yips award.

If you're missing from less than 2ft then you need some serious putting practice.  And I've probably missed more putts from inside 2ft in real golf (and I'm a pretty decent player) than I have on WGT.

Further, the rules of golf say that each hole must be completed in stroke play, i.e. you must hole out.  In match play putts can be conceded - the auto-putt facility of sorts - and this is already implemented on WGT.
