Daveyvee:
..I have played many games with completely customisable avatars and it is fun to make you AV look like you or something completely different ....it shouldn't cost you half a million in coins though...that's just ridiculous.....could be a nice little earner for wgt as long as prices are reasonable...
All true, IMO.
The ability for custom avatars is already existing in WGT land. (to what exact detail can a player customize the avatar seems to be generally unknown)
The crazy thing is the cost, as mentioned, which is very high. Bring the price down the what WGT may believe to be the optimum price and they would have A BIG MONEY MAKER.
As new golf games have demonstrated, in sometimes an impressive manner, the popularity of custom avatars is very large. People are spending a lot of $$$ to make custom avatars. Winning Putt is a good example of ava customization.
Why the execs of WGT haven't tapped into this potential rage makes me wonder.
e.g. Do these custom avatars hinder the game, etc. in any way? My guess is no.
Do the elite avatars only have a few custom details which aren't very special or different or attractive to a potential player? I'm not sure that many people could give the details of this option, maybe Icon could or someone could tell us. Or not.
How could you make this a common feature that would generate income for WGT?
One phrase: simply change the price to something lower (not like the current price of 500,000! haha!), one that matches the demographic's likely spending target, like the price of the best driver, more or less.
