What prizes will be available to non U.S. citizens. The tourney is open to everyone, but the grand prize is only for U.S. citizens.

I'm not going to bust my balls (Calloways, sometimes) if I cant win anything.

    WGT - your answers please

The prize listing on the tournament's page indicates that players will be competing for the top 100 spots and a chance to play in the Virtual Ketel One Cup Championship in August.  There are no other prizes involved in this tourney.

The winner of the championship will be going to Sawgrass and as indicated, this prize is restricted to US Residents only. No additional prizes have been announced.

We'll see. Would be a big upset 2 see Mr AvatarLee (or any other non US Resident) winning the tournament, first US Resident finishing 2nd or worse and going 2 Sawgrass.......

So what you are saying is, there is no point in qualifying if you are not in the U.S.

But yet all countries are allowed to play. A decision that's right up there with TrueGolf courses.

Actually WGT, what it says in your own blurb is

The top 100 scores will qualify to play in the Virtual Ketel One Cup Championship with additional prizes, including a trip to TPC Sawgrass in Florida. See rules for details and eligibility.

So if there are no additional prizes, then this is false advertising

So just to be clear, "additional prizes" means you win nothing.  "Open to all residents of all countries" means WGT hopes a non-American wins the final tourney so that no prize will have to be paid out.  Think I got it now.

I would say the first 'US Resident'  will get the prize whether it be 1st or 10th.

Now seeing this game is called the 'World Golf Tour'  and more players are joining across the globe, these Prizes are a bit unfair for my liking...that's why we all have to read the fine print b4 entering them.

Maybe Wgt can Start Big Comps like this so everybody can get the top prize...it will be the  same great golfers winning em...lol... but that's not the point, gives everybody the chance to get top prize!

Maybe have the WGT Masters once a year (if that is not going already) or something like that... for the big prizes, so everybody can play it.

    Cheers

Mantis, don't quote me on this, but I believe most countries are eligible for the 2 major championships coming up this summer, er, winter for you.
