Lately,  I have lined up my shot, and struck it perfectly (I use meter for wind...so it's not always a ding). Having taken in to account the distance, elevation, slope of green...and most importantly the 9-11MPH or more, dead behind me, tailwind. I hit the appropriate power and actually ding it. The ball goes EXACTLY the distance I hit it for. This happening with high end balls and of course TAILWIND. This almost always leaves me in something not good. This is getting very frustrating WGT, because the shot(s) should be right at the hole...and possibly have gone in. Instead they are having to be whacked up by the hole out of 40-60 rough or a bunker or something.

I have also experienced wind issues with other winds. Side winds with a touch of tailwind or headwind to them, that miraculously turn all tailwind or headwind...only during my shot.

I am finding it more and more amazing how this ONLY happens when I have hit...what I think...is a very good shot. There are no specific holes or courses. It is starting to feel like I am merely a spectator in the match, at times.

Is this a known issue with the wind or what, WGT? This is only posed to WGT staff. I don't really care what others say. WGT should answer anything that is posted in bug log....yet it seems they answer almost nothing.

And I can sit down and comb through many many hours of Bandicam video of rounds, and send you actual gameplay of a lot of these shots...and also of putts moving through break, heading straight for cup, and then defying....everything..., and turning slightly against break and going over cup. I have 3 or 4 of those as well. Just let me know and I can get those sorted and to y'all.

    Thanks

So why post in the USERS forum? If you wish to have a dialogue with WGT, then contacy Customer Services.

The bug log is to report bugs, not enter a dialogue with WGT.

Put them on youtube, we would all love to see evidence of what you are describing.

I looked at a replay of yours in which you think that your ball should have dropped instead of rolling over the hole....

    HA-HA-HA!!

Bullshite! See above for details of why.

Read this for some insight regarding how WGT game play works:

Understanding Wind, Club  Precision, & Club Forgiveness

Also note: The calculated position of the ball relative to the display of the golf course on our device screens is not exactly accurate.

Back spin added to the ball will diminish the effect of a tailwind on the distance the ball goes.

Both the shot that Paul references as well as the one you believe would have been a double eagle if the pin had been pulled were going way too fast for them to have dropped. Just because the ball appears to go over the hole doesn't mean it's going to drop. Speed plays a huge factor, especially with approach shots.

An old adage is that a Headwind is more detrimental than a tailwind is helpful (No sh1t Batman says you to me)

We know a ball baloons up in to the air in to a headwind because golf balls spin backwards & the headwind makes it spin more BUT with a tailwind the effect is that the tailwind slows the backspin of the ball which it needs to climb & this in turn "knocks" the ball down out of the air & the ball can come up short a lot
