They can and have. In fact I have done it twice. But an eagle on 9 & 10 are 2's not holes-in-ones.
Not strictly hole in one's but I had back to back aces on the first 2 holes at wolf creek in a ctth ages ago, alas didnt know about screenshots at the time.

That shot was a thing of beauty!
St. Andrews actually gives the opportunity for 5 consecutive aces.. holes 8 thru 12.
With 8 & 11 being par 3's and 9, 10, & 12 being easily reachable par 4's with a good wind, it COULD be done, but I would hate to guess at the probability.
Never thought of it that way but you are right 5 straight holes that can be reached in one and potentially aced. From my tees I can rarely get to most of those greens anymore but I have played with plenty of tour pros who can get there often with 3 woods.
on CTTH the the double or triple possible( not a....nev trou d'un coup) done it. anyone?(aces that is)

Even 7 can be reached with the right wind and either the 280 R9 or the R11.
