I thought of an idea today. Introduce player attributes. As a player advances through tiers, their attributes increase.

eg. Everyone can buy the same driver, say it hits 250yds. As a hack you can buy this driver and it hits 250yds. Now every time you get bumped to the next tier, your power attributes increase by say 2.5%. So an amateur would hit that same driver 256, a pro 263, a tourpro 269, a master 276, a tourmaster 283, and a legend 290.

This would virtually eliminate sand-baggers, because even though they have the same equipment at a lower tier, they would not be as long as a player in the tiers above them. It is also more like real life, where anyone can have the same equipment, but a better player will get more out of the better equipment. This would promote advancing through tiers. It would also eliminate the need for legend only equipment. However, I still like the idea of having certain equipment unlocked at certain levels, as it promotes gameplay.

    Thoughts?

Sonny and Lou Grabatsi' are already on their way to make Mr WGT a deal he can't refuse.

ty David. I hope wgt likes it just as much. The only downside is having to reprogram the system.

    - wgt still sells just as much equipment since better equipment will still become available at higher levels.

    - players wont stay at lower tiers to get a tee advantage

    - legends wont complain that they are hitting from the back tees with the same equipment as lower tiered players

    - wgt can go back to calculating your ACTUAL average (your average will actually show how good you are)

    - tournaments will be more fair for all

    LOL @ David. I got it. :-)

@DV-I think you joined right when the tier system was introduced. Before that the equipment was only available based on your tier as there were no levels. Your idea kinda goes back there in a way and I like it. The problem would be with changing what players already have.

However, for new players I think it could work. It might even address the starting over with a new ID thing. And if you take it a step further maybe there could be player attributes. Something like what you see on the clubs only pertaining to game results like ranked rounds played, AS matches played, tournaments entered, etc.
