I have to agree with the masters should be in their own tier (or at the very least, I am not in the correct tier at all).   A quick look at the people in my "tier" tells me that some of them may be at a disadvantage against me.   Don't get me wrong, I like winning probably more than the other guy.   But, I'd rather win in a fair match, and I'm not sure pitting me with my 1000+ rounds up against the players in my tier is fair for those players.

Plus, my scoring average at the time of the tiers being created was not exactly accurate.   Give me another day of playing some ranked rounds, and then rank me according to my average at that time as my average will be more indicative of my current scoring level.

shauno is the Legend Tier belt-holder because his scoring average is/was lower than thunderbird's at the time they signed up. And coolswing is in the pro tier because his scoring average requires him to be in that tier. (Read the scoring requirements on my latest post.) Please note that every three days, I will check each player's average; some may move up a tier, some may move down a tier, but nobody is permanent.

Like I said in response to lilrob88's post, I will check each player's average every three days; and the tiers may change, even drastically sometimes, depending on who meets what requirements. Every few weeks EllisSpice and I may change the tier requirements, which we have every right to do. So marioh, don't be worried that you'll dominate the Hack Tier ... pretty soon you should be in your rightful tier, whereever that may be. Hopefully this clears up any concerns over "incorrect" tier placements. Also, if you're still not sure why you're in a certain tier, please read the latest post of WGT Belt, which has the tier requirements as of September 2. Thank you.

    Cool.

What about belt holders?   If someone is holding a belt for a long period of time and there is another tier above them, would they get promoted up a tier after a certain amount of time?

Yes marioh, after 30 days as belt-holder, the belt-holder will automatically be moved up a tier. However, it is quite possible he/she could move down at the next cycle of tier changes.

Side note: I may not check the scoring averages every three days, as it seems a little quick to change tiers without people getting settled in a bit and having more of a chance at a title, be them tier belts or otherwise (which we are still discussing). I will assess the situation with EllisSpice and we will come up with a good timing to do so. Thank you.

My stroke average is 57.57.  Maybe you should rank by low rounds or even rankings.  I am okay waiting for the next match against Zant or Shauno.  It is what it is.
