on several occasions i have hit drives with full back spin 11 mph tail wind, only to have the ball act as though i hit a punch shot....example...on the 9th tee at bpb with a 11mph tail wind. aimed over the bunker at the center full shot full back spin and dinged the shot only to have the ball travel 265 yards and hit in the bunker.ive been playing for 2 years now and have spend well over 400 dollars on this site for equipment. i have a pretty good record and have hit that shot over the bunker many times....this is not normal to be penalized for hitting a perfect shot.please look into the matter as i cant imagine that this is the norm.i have sent bug reports on this in the past and have had no response.

I've noticed shots flying like this before, almost exclusively at BPB. It seems that sometimes I have been able to move the spin dot actually completely below the ball, so that the dot is more on the tee than the ball itself.
That happened to me just the other day for the first time on hole 8 at Bethpage... the spin dot on the ball moved all the way down below the ball and about halfway down the tee and when i tried to put full top on the ball the dot would only go to just above where it is by default before applying spin. Not sure what caused it and that was the only hole it did that on.
