I have been harping on this for a long time now.

After months and months of research(by playing the game), I have come to the conclusion that clicking on the middle of the screen when it is grey or a person is spinning, will speed up the game, particularly in 4 player Alternate Shot games, but actually it's in any game that has 2 or more players.

The simple reason for this is that WGT expects a response from your client(aka a click) to let them know you are still in the game.  You might be there, but if you don't click on the screen it won't acknowledge that you are there.

I would suggest that the WGT client send a ping(computer talk) after every shot, no matter who is shooting.  This would, I think, eliminate grey screens altogether.

I might be wrong on the computing solution, but I am NOT wrong that screen clicking speeds up the game and stops the "spinning" that delays the game.

2 Awesome posts SG....both make no sense to me.....but I am a very simple man.

Obviously your months and months of research have paid dividends.....good luck with any future research.

What, smoking something Lut!? It works in that you have a really enjoyable game but your score is rubbish. The good thing though is, as Kevin would say, you really couldn't GAF.

Likewise, so without knowing the specifics, I do think spinning usually happens when a comm. link gets disrupted for some reason. Whether its due to no response from client as the OP said or due to connection itself I don't know. But we know what solves it is a refresh of gameclient.

To keep refreshing GC without getting hit by 3 disc rule, simply open another WGT page. As each of the WGT pages have a GC part linked on the left side which syncs with the GC page, opening a page simply refreshes the GC part(when it goes to 100% ofc) and resurrects the connection with the servers again.

Stop the spinning chewing gum by click on her nose to let her know you are there.

I'm pretty sure this is  the case. I know because I make designs on the screen (mostly figure 8s but sometimes try to match the spinning circle) with the mouse cursor while waiting for the load.  :-D
