It would be great to be able to play a country club tournament in multi player format. I could only imagine that the participation level of club tournaments would increase if they could be played in a group.

    • Actual software detection -- Invest in something that can actually detect the cheats in this game. Personally,  I would be more than open to installing some type of client that sends data back to WGT.

This is a great idea, anyone who wishes to play in credit tournaments should have something like this installed on their P.C.

+1 make it happen!  If you ever wanna make this game shine again like back in 2013-14 this need to be done.

This game doesn't install, there's nothing for a util to monitor that would be accurate or relevant to 'cheating'.

Playing off slopes/hills are tricky indeed and whether it's uphill or downhill or any degree in between.... I'll take a bunker shot over a 45 degree off a 'hill' any day.

It would be difficult for this game to bring that into play within the current platform. Without having the ability to adjust stance, close or open the clubface... tough to do hills in this game I think.

    Fair enough and thanks.

What I was responding to was the oft' spouted "uel is unrealistic", it probably is but even lies possibly more so.  As you say tough to do hills in this game, wind etc as well I imagine.

Even if they could represent everything accurately it could be said to be unrealistic if compared to golf; sitting at home sipping a beer and adjusting for 28-30mph wind is nothing like being on the coast of Fife (possibly in full waterproofs) trying to take a shot while it's blowing you over.  Or trying to think while you're sweltering in heat and humidity somewhere in the USA (poor Monty).   Imagine the fuss if the wind readings we got were along the lines of "30mph but occasionally dropping to 20mph and gusts up to 45mph".

It is, and only can be, a computer game but uel is probably the more reasonable interpretation of golf.  Whatever, it's there as an option.

I think  "an uneven virtual tour and uneven open" would be great and don't really get the "I don't like it/can't be bothered learning it so it's wrong" attitude.

I think given the limitations of cost vs the Flash platform, they didn't totally sh*t the bed completely with UEL, it's a tough thing to get accurate for sure.

For me, as someone who plays in real life, playing and expecting the game to react as if hitting a real club often is annoying. I think UEL rounds can be easier for people who don't golf as they're not trying to play the lie like in real life.

With no ablilty to adjust the club while hitting your shot is very limiting and you're playing the game as a completely arcade game at that point beceaue there's nothing about it that plays like golf.

This may be true, and may be why I like it.  Though another part of it is, as far as I know, there are no charts, rulers, pals, etc  to help the players.  This gives an element of what I think of as feel to the game.  Maybe that sounds a bit pompous but for me part of the fun of playing a game is imagining.

That made me think of another thing I'd like in the game; the ability to draw and fade.  I expect folk that know about computers will tell me that's not possible.

I always thought E lies is a bit unrealistic, an E lie for every shot is a bit boring, no thinking involved in your round

Some great ideas in here, hope WGT seriously considers them.  Kind of a no brainer really;  make it as close to real golf as possible.  Not sure why they wouldn't want that...

Any tournament considered a major (monthly's) or Virtual Tour event should be single round only.  Not this unlimited for the 1st 3 weeks, then single.

Tier promotion should happen when X $$$ are won at a tier regardless of average or # of ranked rounds.  Maybe this happens to a certain degree, but I've seen players who have thousands in earnings with a sub 60 avg. still in a certain tier.  Move them up!

    Hi

UEL is not realistic - I agree. In RL you would always compensate much of the lie by different angles etc. In a computer it is about vectors only I guess. Putting in WGT isn't realistic either - there is no way in RL to make as many putts as we do here in this game.

I do not really care if it is realistic of not - I just like UEL and I do understand if others don't.
There seems to be more UEL RGs lately - so I guess there is growing number of players playing them - this is why I came up with the proposal for UEL virtual tour and Open.

    Cheers

No, it's just two times the UEL RG's are set one week too late, and this time the new batch was set on time. So for one week we had two batches at the same time. But the RG's of the first batch are disapearing now.

But remember the last (I think it was the last one) event organized by LOLServer. It was UEL, free and the success was absolutely incredible. I think a lot of players would be happy to learn how to play UEL on WGT, but with one free UEL 9-hole tournament by week, that motivates nobody. WGT has always made everything upside down; less UEL players? they decrease the number of opportunities to play UEL, instead of increasing "advertising". Very smart.

It still annoys me they stopped listing the free 18 Hole Uneven tournament , not much choice for Uneven players
