lately I have been getting this result quite a bit. The green breaks only one direction. I check all views, and in the case of the putt I just missed because of this, I double check all of them. The putt goes, looks good....then it defies everything known. it has special physics, or powers...I don't know. It goes against the break....when the ball is slowest and the break is the most intense. After it gently and mysteriously alters its path, it then proceeds in a b-line past the cup...stopping within a foot of the other side.

I am not sure why this has been happening...and I am not the only one it has happened too on multiple occasions. One thing I do know is if you are trying to get me to feel as though I need a new putter....I would agree. But only one that beats my current putter in all stats. I ain't blowing $50 on a putter that isn't any better. And the one you have just released that is better in all aspects...well you will probably have several more come out by the time I reach level 101 to get it.

I use bandicam on most of my rounds....one day I will get around to segmenting into hole by hole to help others. But my bandicam shows clearly what happens...everytime! I an find clips and send to you WGT. It won't be till a weekend, but I will use my time for it.

I know I'll catch -ell but I have to agree 100% with you. I have seen this way to many time lately, but today was a total slap in the face. Short putts for bird doing crazy things in the last 2 feet, 2 eagle putts of less than 4 feet break all of a sudden when the green shows no movement at all. These putts all missed by less than an inch or two. Not short so I did what I was told way too many times-Hit It Harder. One eagle putt stopped an inch short and was on the back side of the cup, now figure that one out.

Just hang in there rb3.The choir boyz will be along shortly to explain how it's all your own fault and you really don't know what you are doing. Too hard..too soft..bad reading..obviously. Your 3 putt average is ridiculous..  2.22 %. ..Really?   What a hack !.No wonder you are missing short easy putts that drift over against the break. It's obvious you have no clue how to play. That is all.

Be back later after I get my tongue unstuck from my cheek.    Oh   btw   Agree  100%.     R.

Could have sworn this was in.  It was breaking, breaking, breaking, straight.

Does it look like it changes direction right before the hole or is it just me?

FWIW, when watching from the reverse view, it appears to me it was breaking and then straightened out at about 4 or 5 feet from the hole.

    I agree.

Great putt and read and very unlucky but I have had a shorter putt from there and it did straighten out near the hole.

I find on a few courses, Merion in particular, using chip view really helps find some of those hidden breaks....others need to be learned - that is still WIP for me lol.

From the reverse view it definately looks like it takes avoiding action, right where I stuck the arrow. I thought it was in, unlucky kvvz, damn good roll.

    Cheers

Thank you all for the kind words.  Just one of those WTF moments I guess.  There have been quite a few of these types of putts lately at least for me.  Definitely I'm quite good at misreading putts but those ones where they seem to be heading for centre cup; and then ....  kind of a bummer.

Agree with you there, and sometimes they come in clusters.
