Let me explain what I am seeing. Alot of times I feel I am using different balls since the meter speed is inconsistent, and it is suppose to be consistent throughout. I notice this primarily after a MP round where the other players maybe using a different ball and my meter speed during the round is smooth and consistent. Now, I know its sounds ridiculous, but that is the only explanation I can give.
I am trying to eliminate erasing my cache between updates to ensure no background loading is occurring. Also, my ISP downloads at 600 kb/sec and have background loading turned off (default). I run my computer lean and mean with very few services running to ensure optimal performance.
Thus for example my total CPU load when playing at this site are summarized as follows;
Tee; 3%
Fairway; 7%
Green; 8%
If anything, my meter performance should not see any hiccups what so ever. Yes, I do expect the odd one now and again. But, when the meter speed is inconsistent from shot to shot something tells me there is something out of the ordinary occuring.
Is there any validity that a corrupt file may cause this, and secondly since each file is signed by WGT, really this shouldn't occur either.
