Distance balls complicate the game with intricate distance calculations. 0-distance balls result in exact yardages. But 2.5 meter is the maximum meter available in no-distance balls. There is the starter ball, BES ball, G1S ball, G12S ball, and G13S ball, ranging from 0 meter to 2.5 meter. It would be nice to have 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0 meters available in the balls that provide no additional distance.

Nothing intricate about it. It's just a matter of learning how your clubs and balls work together, same as IRL. Basically, with a "distance ball," I just figure the yardage and back off a little on the shot.

With Volviks, the distance is just about spot on. With level 61 and 81 Nikes, I just adjust a tad. I don't go through a lot of math; just do it by feel.

Indeed....a 0 distance ball goes zero distance...................................unless you mean 0 dots in the attributes....

What you are asking will not be popular when probably for the same price you can have 1 dot attribute of distance.

Any increase in attributes will cost more, that is the business model so my advice is to chose the best attribute ball you can afford, learn and map it, and then stick with it.

thanks all for your responses. i guess that most WGTers feel that mapping is worth the added distance

No, some simply learn the distances by playing the same ball consistently. I've never taken the time to map my clubs.

Hi cedriver, I think most players will find the best ball (spin, distance and meter) that suits them.....and most importantly their budget.

Distance, especially from the tips is good, but a ball that can bite (spin) can overcome the loss of distance.

From there to get the most out of that ball, you do indeed need to map it, using all spin, landing and rolling distances. Some players have done this painstakingly well and many will share that info - so ask if anyone has mapped whatever ball you choose. However it will also need to have been mapped with your clubs (as all clubs have different attributes).

Or continue to play by feel - the more rounds the greater the learning's. This game should be about fun IMO, not a calculus lesson. But if you know roughly what your ball/club combo can do, it makes the game a little easier,

    Have fun.

All the irons are mapped for starter balls!!   When you buy a ball you must learn the difference and get to know its relationship with your irons.

so 125 distance full on say an 8 iron. That will go more with decent balls because that distance is only a guideline for basic starter balls.  No iron comes mapped with Nikes or Callays
