I heaved a sigh of relief, at least, when I noticed that the September International Open is played from Medium tees under what appear to be rather severe wind conditions. Sanity has been restored!    We'll no longer have to answer 500 misinformed threads in a month complaining about other site users achieving low 50s scores.

You'd be surprised.  I played through it once haphazardly and shot a 57.  I anticipate the same scores as last month, because the moderate winds actually help in some places.

Not the same, I hope. 8 players scored a round of 55 or lower in August in this particular tournament, and 101 players shot a sub-60 round. I trust things can't be as bad as all that in September again! (Wanna bet?)

I'm amazed that even more people are not recording such scores. The fairways and greens should have well worn, and visible, foot paths by now. Two courses, same pin placement. I'll bet some people don't even need to move the aiming point, any longer, to score par, or better.

So if it's so ridiculously easy to play this game, Crusty56, why exactly is it that you are yourself still only located in the Pro rather than the Master tier?

Because that is where I want to be. Moving on to Master would require spending more real money on this game, just to play it. As intended by the creators. Besides, with age, reflexes tend to fail, resulting in far more mishits. Something all adults learn, sooner or later.

On the other hand, one can neutralize the slower reflexes by playing with GI-D balls that slow down the meter for all clubs. Some of the advanced clubs, such as Raptures, already have slow meters, so further combining them with GI-D balls makes them pretty easy to hit.

Besides, when you look at the top of both Ladder 9 & Ladder 18, the person currently (and habitually, in fact) sitting at the top there is HBthree, a member of   The Old Men & The Protégés Guild.
