No. Again like other things we've asked for this will backfire. Not everyone wants to buy their way out of poor shots that need to be and should be punished to keep the game real. Beware of what you ask for.
Fair enough, but I think folks just want to have a set of wedges that work consistently. These wedges with extreme spin are only helpful if you use them carefully. If you use the Clevelands the same as other wedges you will strike plenty of poor shots indeed.
Due the the amount of spin/loft the Clevelands generate they do take some getting used to and they do take some practice. Once you've got them down they are by far the best wedges in the game. As in real golf, the Clevelands are far superior to any other wedge on the market. So too, the club does not make the player, the player makes the club/shot. Clevelands do not make decent players better. It's quite the opposite i.e. they're not "miracle" clubs. A poor shot with a Cleveland will be a terrible shot at best.
A full set of Cleveland irons with the full compliment of wedges would be a tremendous addition to the game. Given the characteristics of the irons realistically they should be TM and above and around level 80 or so. The addition of a 64 degree Cleveland would allow for "wedge sets" as can be done with Ping and Talormade. With sets comes continuity in meter, swing, and shot characteristics. For those of us that carry 4 wedges this would be most advantageous; the TM 64 although a great club pales in comparison to a Cleveland.
Bottom-line, WGT has done this with every major club maker in the Pro Shop to date. Eventually more Clevelands will be available. Simply put, the nay-sayers need not purchase them.
