No. Again like other things we've asked for this will backfire. Not everyone wants to buy their way out of poor shots that need to be and should be punished to keep the game real. Beware of what you ask for.

Fair enough, but I think folks just want to have a set of wedges that work consistently. These wedges with extreme spin are only helpful if you use them carefully. If you use the Clevelands the same as other wedges you will strike plenty of poor shots indeed.

Due the the amount of spin/loft the Clevelands generate they do take some getting used to and they do take some practice.  Once you've got them down they are by far the best wedges in the game.  As in real golf, the Clevelands are far superior to any other wedge on the market.  So too, the club does not make the player, the player makes the club/shot.  Clevelands do not make decent players better.  It's quite the opposite i.e. they're not "miracle" clubs.  A poor shot with a Cleveland will be a terrible shot at best.

A full set of Cleveland irons with the full compliment of wedges would be a tremendous addition to the game.  Given the characteristics of the irons realistically they should be TM and above and around level 80 or so.  The addition of a 64 degree Cleveland would allow for "wedge sets" as can be done with Ping and Talormade.  With sets comes continuity in meter, swing, and shot characteristics.  For those of us that carry 4 wedges this would be most advantageous; the TM 64 although a great club pales in comparison to a Cleveland.

Bottom-line, WGT has done this with every major club maker in the Pro Shop to date.  Eventually more Clevelands will be available.  Simply put, the nay-sayers need not purchase them.

Maybe so if it's the $4.95 version. You'll still have a higher ball flight than the Z or ping and another half a dot of spin. You know by now every club just takes a few weeks of learning at the most and then any extremely difficult trouble shot with 4 and half dots of spin will be within a yard of the hole. Even on the cheaper version it will be a big advantage.

I'll be spending on real balls and the new golfing simulator I've just discovered anyway. It shows your shot on the pc screen and also allows multiplayer games. It's $400 but to a true gamer that's not much and I'm working on a room in the garage for it. One of the guys in the commercial has a last name of Tibbets. HMMMMMMM what a coincidence.

    Lisa03:
Some may ask "How would that work?"--Simple-it would be like some Arcade Golf Games like Golden Tee- just as you add Backspin  and Topspin by moving the "strike-dot" up and down, you could draw or fade by moving it side to side--But that option would only be available with the "newer" clubs---Now wouldn't that be handy on Bethpage #2 with a left to right wind?

You shouldn't have any trouble on that hole...pretty sure I've knocked down all he branches off the tree ;)
