  Don't know how many near misses at a DE in my career I have had. But today one finally dropped

  Phil...Did you have to putt again to sink that one (which is already in the dead center of the cup)?

   

  Yes I did Paul, a monster 2 incher. Plus I was facing back down the fairway so somehow the ball got to the other side of the hole which to me means it had to pass through the flagpole.

  My second only HIO the other day, I was pleased but it never appeared in my stats. It happened during a scored match play game so at least I had a witness, tho I'm sure he wasn't too impressed as it helped me win the match.

  Anybody know for sure if match play shots wind up being reflected in stats, I'm sure they do affect some of one's stats, but apparently not HIO's

  this is a double eagle (hole in one) at st.andrews hole 9...during 1 multiround for tour legend tier.

  294 yrd   (my first double eagle in an hole in one in a par4)
