   but bounced back out.  Not sure if that would ever happen in real golf or not.

  It would, it has, and it probably will  again..

  In 2005 at Torrey Pines, Chucky 3 stix ( Charles Howell  III for the layman), hit his approach into the cup on 18 from approx 90 yards, and the ball bounced backwards into the pond, and cost him the tournament...

  Sorry, I cant seem to find the video...
