Deviation turned up tonight?

  I had 3 head-scratchers like that last night.  Most notably a 5 iron, full ding, that came up 30 yards short, going downwind at PB 9 with an 18 mph tailwind...

  I have found that with a very strong tailwind. If you club down 3 and use dot ball it can come up woefully short... vice versa if you club down 2 and do the fullback shot that tends to go much longer than normal.

  Pay close attention to what club/ type of shot you hit next time with a strong tailwind. I'm pretty sure this is all it is. whether it's a bug or not I don't know, but the result is consistent for me.

  What say you to a Vapor 8 iron with a 10-12 tailwind and a 71 Nike hit flat checking up at 140? That's what both those posters are alluding to and I can personally verify the driver complaint on Oak 17. A 75% R1 swing flies a 299 foot pin!

  This only happens when there's a clash on and it's pretty consistent.  Not every shot, every time, just more often than usual. I believe it's outside the normal patterns of deviation.
