Country Club League - Summer 2011 Cup

  Played my match today against therobstar & unfortunately fell 2 & 1. We both did not bring our A games, as both of us struggled with some errant shots. He was great to play with, & was an outstanding representative of the Upton Manor CC.

  Look forward to playing with you in the future, as I have found yet another fine friend here.

  Thanks for running this great tournament Slor, your hard work & dedication is very mnuch appreciated.

  Website updated

  Scores from last night have been entered in the database. The scores should now look a bit like golf scores:

  1-0 2-0 = 1up, 2up

  2-1 3-2 = 2&1, 3&2

  10-0 14-0 = after 10 holes, after 14 holes

  There is space to add country flags to individual players, so I will add that to the lineup form and see if the programme will automatically add them onto the player files next week...

  briobrio, I'll put you on lineup duty for next week. Everyone will be able to see their opponents via the raw data on the google form on Tuesday morning, but moving them around within the teams in the software will take an hour or two before results can be entered in. 

  bootsnbra, I will make you the scorer for next week if you would like to lend a hand once briobrio has updated the lineups. 

  I'll get in touch with both of you on Monday! Until then, good shooting everyone.

  Hi slor, excellent work on the new set up, much easier I think.... I notice in game 18 on the Black team "Electra Buzzed Up" Kurtsbuford name is spelled wrong (Kurtsbufford) it has an extra "f" in it, I have entered the result with the wrong spelling in case that mattered, but could we get it changed for next week if possible, please and thank you :)

  As long as I knew you were reviewing everything I entered and that  I touched nothing that had to do with my club or the opponents they are playing...... I would have no issues helping.... I type 120wpm and have bachelors degree in computers which means I should pick up the functions of the program easily ( crosses eyes and wrinkles nose) .... just link me to what you want me to setup and let me make sure I can access it and I would be more then happy to lend 9 fingers and 2 thumbs gigglee..........

  Lineup submission form now open (closes 11:59pm WGT time Monday 1 August)

  Teams entered for Round 2 (Lineups released Tuesday 2 August)

  We have lots of experience of this over two seasons in the first round. Teams do sign up and then don't show up when it is time to play (sometimes a player signs people up without asking anybody, for example, or the club implodes and everyone leaves. That happened once.)

  With so many players, there will be different levels of attentiveness as well as level of play! Try chatting with one of their teammates, they might know what is going on. 

  Unfortunately it's much easier to blow someone off on the internet than if you had arranged to meet in the car park for a real game of golf!

  FYI the league does not give forfeits. I have tried both ways and, fair or unfair, these disputes are unmanageable if forfeits were on offer if players disappear on you.
