  Electra still has 3 teams- ready, willing and able--lets start after US Open= we have 12 qualified so far

  Hey everyone. I have been doing some thoughts on an abbreviated summer league. With the new options for matches in pairs, this element has been added into the league. This should be very exciting and innovative!

  i hope im proved wrong but i cant see this new format working,trying to get 4 players online at the same time to complete the foursomes is goin be next to impossible what with time zone differences,people having work/family commitments its goin to be a miracle to get all the games played in the time even with the extra week!

  we tried arranging an alternate comp at our c.c but had serious problems getting the games resolved and were a uk based club with over 90% of our players in the same time zone!!

  totally appreciate the time and effort you put in getting these leagues up and running and i hope you dont take this as criticism but maybe you should of stuck to the tried and tested formula.

  I can't help but agree with thewonderstuff. So many singles matches had significant problems getting off the ground - this will only be exacerbated in foursomes and alt shot.

  That being said, the two O Canada squads will run with whatever is put on the table. No matter the format, we love the competition and support the league 100%.

  See you have entered the 4 sides (A,B,C & D) already and have seen the names as you guys are playing against each other the moment.

  Is there any way some of the rest of us interested players can try get into these teams or create a E side?

  The pairs competition is worth less than the singles - one of the reasons for this is to take into account that it is difficult to complete matches.

  Have to agree also, think there will be quite a few unplayed matches as it is not easy to get 4 players on line at the same time, having said that  I will do my best to be available when we kick off !
