  Results for Round 1

  Four games were declared a "no result" and the teams involved are not credited with having played a game in the standings:

  Game 8 UN Seve v O Canada A (2-2)

  Sorry to make issue, but my entrant for the fifth match has made himself available constantly over the past four days, all the while being told that the opponent from UN CC was trying to make time.

  Multiple rejected invites later, we have our no result. Granted, we could just have easily lost the rubber match, but it was never for a lack of trying on the part of O Canada.

  Very disappointing to have a null result with the effort my five entrants made to get their matches in in round 1.

  If the two can get their match done some time soon, can it still count to the round 1 result?

  Regarding for Round 1

  Game 16: OzChris defeated Traceyeubank 1 up therefore NWC Baddeley should be on 1 and not 0. I'm very sure that I reported this result.

  and regarding Derbyshire vs NWC Allenby A little disapointed that billcliff and glennpro claimed a forefit for the game where he typed the players name in wrong (glenpro)! Blade668 eventually friended micamills and I offered a sub in Gimmeee to fill in the match. As for claiming a forfeit for all the matches not played is simply ridiculous, I recieved no notice from any of the captain or other players of any difficulty contacting any other players except Blade668. I would be very cautious in regards to accepting the results of the Derbyshire CC in the future. I think the need to win 3 points will have teams claiming forfeits that aren't really applicable, which isnt a true indication of the results. Anyway it was their first time I believe, I will not contest the result but I want other clubs to be wary of such tactics that aren't in the spirit of the game. It was 1 win a piece! At least rocksta won 5 and 3. Im sure you cant claim that as a forefit.

   Hi Bootsie, this should be corrected now, if anyone else does this please let me know.  I had posted the first match-up earlier in the day to my CC's forum, when I got home from work I realized that the match-ups had be updated so I posted the updated match-ups.

  JG that is totally my fault accepting a forfeit. When I saw the post you made on billcliff's wall that you were subing in Gimmeee I took that as banter and that you were conceding that match without realising that Gimmeee was an actual player. I will revise to show that that match was not played.

  The other forfeit they claimed I did not accept as there was no indication that you had given it, and eventually the match was played.

  Sorry again guys, it did take me an hour to notice that something didn't smell right in the draw. I hope that you have lost too much time due to the change.

  I am sure if you botther to check glennpro did not claim a forefit he beat carljenilian 4 up and your man quit as regards 1 win each what about gordon 0762 beating baztiger 3up and satonarse beating shauno 1 up i think that is 3-1 to us.We still have your messages regarding blade668 not being online from the 25/7 and replacement gimmmeee accepted invite but did not show.Instead of badmouthing me and my players get your facts right first.

  Just  to be clear that forfeit claims are not normally accepted by the scorer. If your opponent has given it to you, in writing, that is a different matter. That is where the confusion happened over the word "gimmee".

  It is simply too difficult and vexing over the internet to verify that someone has not made a reasonable effort to play a match and I and the rest of the scorers have no intention of getting involved in these claims.
