Royal St Georges, hole 5, in fairway, left to right wind 8 MPH.  Played left of pin, hit the ding on this shot.  And lost the ball and the bracket.  Please reimburse for bracket, 500cr, and sleeve of balls.

This happened 2 times and this was 2nd time.  Bug report submitted for both shots.

Lost this round by 4 strokes-Had an 8 on #5-4 over.

Your sense of humor is sick, as you must be.

I never knew there was out of bounds on that hole. Seriously. A lot of times, I'll play the front 9 of RSG for my first round of the day, to get my timing down. I've always figured that it's really hard to lose a ball out of bounds on that 9. Who knew?

The only hole I "worry" about is the 4th hole. But that green is really receptive to approach shots, so I've rarely hit it too long or gotten a bad bounce on the green.

There is OOB to the right of the green (over the fence) but it needs a considerable mishit to get there! Without being able to see the replay, it's difficult to see what went wrong

I'd be willing to bet that the OP did not aim using the mini-map or the zoom-in view of the green, but instead stuck the marker on the mound in front of him in what looked like the right direction. Aiming like this can have you pointing waaay off line without realising due to parallax error.

I've had several players ask for help with this same problem whilst saying 'I've been playing this game for x years, I know how to aim'. Without fail, they don't.

unfortunately shots going far off line, even when struck properly, has become fairly common. i personally have not lost a ball to this occurrence but i'm not surprised to hear it has happened.

Assuming you were in the position of the blue dot on my graphic deadeye, in what direction did the ball go?

Good point.  I used a ruler to set my direction and moved the marker to the left of the flag.  My first shot was a line left of the ding and the second was on the ding.  The ball just took off to the right, as if it was a shanked shot off the hossel in real golf.
