Am I the only one having it impossible to play these time a evening???! It's always lagging like crazy and the only time a day i can play is almost in late morning or middle of day.

Solve this problem! How are you supposed to increase the number of members here when they can't play as it is now? How hard can it be to make this system better, I bet I'm not the only one having this lag-issue becuase my computer AND connection is very fast.

    Happy for an answer.

Sounds like your ISP to me, check it's speed at different times of day.

It's not just you. I have dozens of screenshots or the latency to wgt servers, most of the time the average response is 100ms, but it's been double this which of course makes it a little tough to have a foursome playing.

    here's an example:

Ok, I found this fix on the net a week ago and since I done it my meter has been near perfect ever since.

It works for Vista and Windows7 but if your using XP you can try it too.

Its not like the download latency fix that some of you may have heard of but is a direct latency fix. If your not sure about changing registry settings I suggest you do a system restore point before doing this and if you mess up you can just restore your system back to what you previously had and you'll have no problems.

    So here goes;

    1. From command prompt (usually found in All Programs- Accessories-Command Prompt) run 'regedit'.

    2. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/services/Tcpip/parameters/interfaces.

    3. Browse the items under interfaces until you find one with an IP Address (typically Lan IP Addresses start with 192.168.10 or .01

    4. Right click on interface and select new > DWORD (32 BIT) VALUE, name it 'TcpAckFrequency'.

    5. Right click the new TcpAckFrequency value and select modify and enter 1 (hexadecimal button should be selected).

    6. Right click on interface and select new > DWORD (32 BIT) VALUE, name it 'TCPNoDelay'.

    7. Right click the new TCPNoDelay value and select modify and enter 1 (hexadecimal button should be selected).

    8. Verify that both of your new properties show a value of REG_DWORD 0x00000001.

    9. Exit and reboot your system (you must do this for it to take effect).

    10. Enjoy your smoother meter.

I hope this works for you, I know it worked for me.

I suggest you hightlight this post, copy it, then paste it to notebook or word then print it out.

    Neil

This has been going on for as long as WGT has been around.  The 'service' as you have put it has not changed in 5 years.

WGT is headquartered in the US.  Therefore you are free to come and go as you please.  You are also free to spend your real money or not as you please.

So, either stay or go, it's up to you, it's your choice.

I'm sure that your threats of leaving have WGT emotionally distraught.

The rest of would just like to say ....  "bye!"

What does this actually do? I understand what to do but am curious about what it fixes.

It disables Nagles algorithm also commonly known as TCP no delay which basically optimizes the network traffic that tries to reduce overall packet volume that cause extra latency in the connection.

I noticed that the latency while playing wgt was 200-300ms, ok not a big deal but I thought I could do better. After doing the said fix Im now getting under 100ms.
