Putters, which is better?

  The M2 Sabretooth or the Nike M2?????

  At your level I will assume that you are speaking of the L98+ versa putter . In  my opinion I would go with the Versa especially since I have it but mine is the M1 . I had the top Nike at one time and got rid of it and went back to the 96+ Versa at that time . The sabertooth you can putt either way . Its a great ding putter as well as a miss the ding putter also . To me you get better feel as well as contol and its a good solid putter once you get used to it .

  Once you settle down and learn it you will really love it . Its a great buy and the best in the pro shop .

  But I have my goods days & bad days at putting.  Thanks guys for your input.  On the fence here on this 1.  I just want to try & better me game.

  I had a versa at 1 time thin I switched with the help of a bud telling me how to figure the #'s out to use the M2.  Will wait for the free rental instead of spending the 750 to find out.

  @ mathia  You dont need another putter you just need to work on your short game . Here`s your problem :

  G.I.R. 69.87%

  AVG.to Pin 19 ft.  This is what you need to work on . Shot placement on your approach shots . Punch Pitch and Flop shots are what you need to work on . This is where you improve your game .

  Learning how to use your wedges and short irons will get you closer to the hole for easier putts . Once you learn those shots you will be able to get at least down to 11 ft as your average distance to the pin . You work on that and the putter you have will do you just fine . Then if you want a better putter do the upgrade but work on your short game first .

  Even though the L98+ Sabertooth is a great putter you will still need to have a good short game . So work on that first and save up your credits until you can get closer to the pin first .Hope this helps and good luck with your game .

  Listen to lonnie's advice; lonnie knows. That advice is spot on.
  
  I guarantee you that I'm not a better putter than you and yet my stat is much better. The reason is that early on I focused on developing my short game. I put a lot of time into it and feel like I've had decent results.
  
  To reiterate: the best way to improve one's putting is to have a good wedge and short game.

  The game is always a W.I.P.  I don't hardly use the punch because I don't know when to use it.  Pitch I gave up on.  Chip is fairly good and the flop is the best of my shots and it is good.  Only problem is the finger spaz and hand/eye at my age.  Just like andyson R.I.P., was going to show where to get the smiley faces I've seen used in the forums, but passed before he could help me.

  You really need to check out this post that provides a chart on using the 50-yard punch. The numbers are spot on.
