    Hi,

I have on lots of holes been needed to play either draw/hook or fade/slice to avoid trees or just to get a better landing on fairway. When I first played this game i thought that it was possible to move that green dot on the ball not just up and down but also sideways. To my great dissapointment this was not possible at all.

I believe lots of people agree with me that some kind of draw or fade shot would be both fun but also nessesary to add to this game. As everyone who defends this game all the time is talking about the "realism" I dont see why you haven't added those shots?

Not just good for avoiding things, also to play it against/with the wind to either get a straight shot or to increase distanse.

I agree with you, you can however hook a little by hitting on the meter left of center, or fade by hitting right of center. Although to me it does not look like a true hook or a true fade.

And as the meter is so unpredictible it can as well go straight to left or right without draw or fade.

You may want to try this method.  For a draw/hook move aim pt to the right and then hit the ball before the ding as close to the bar just before the ding bar. For the fade/slice move the aim pt. left and then hit past the ding as close to the bar just past the ding. Will take some practice but seems to work for me. Just dont get the ding on either shot :)

Yes i know about this. If you get close to the center it will draw/fade. But this does not always work.

Why not just make it possible to move the green dot (if you know what i meen) like to the left to get a draw/hook and right to get a fade/slice? Because the method you are suggesting is very inaccurate. AND if you hit it too much to the left than excactly beside the "ding" it will acctually be a straight shot (if anyone else than I have noticed this?).

Can't agree. I've been using the draw/hook method to avoid the trees on Bethpage 2 and i usually try to hit the ball before the line preceding the ding line. Not sure if u'd call it draw  or hook, but it certainly doesn't go straight.

Btw. there was a thread about this a few months ago here.

Still.... why not just make an option to hit a real draw/fade? I have played lots of golfgames and some of them have excactly this "move a dot to get backspin etc" thing. But they also have so you can move it left or right for draw or fade. Cant be too hard to fix. As those games did it...
