I noticed that one of the bug "fixes"  THE METER, was not addressed, after much anguish and a whole lot of money I have this to say. Either you experts fix the meter by the end of May, or I'm done, finished, kaput.. I'll take my money and spend it on a game that doesn't cost me lost balls, or require me to buy more equipment to get "better." The day I turned Master is the day my game went to hell. I'm playing like a newbie hack, and NOTHING about MY game has changed, I got the better balls, got the longer hitting clubs, still make the shots, but the meter has caused too much heartbreak for a simple game. Thousands have complained, I've never seen a single response.. just silence, and the attempt to placate the masses with crap courses from a substandard outfit. If I wanted cartoon golf I wouldv'e gotten legos golf, or polar bear golf.

Chad recently commented on what's up, glibly yes, but he did actually make a statement, unfortunately, in the 10 pages of comments generated, and the usual gripes and complaints, I have yet to see a response... was it just a form letter from a computer?. You know the gild is off the lilly when ya won't even start a round without a tailwind to help with the many odd discrepancies that pop up in the game.as a disabled, retired vet, this game was a joy, it was a great way to relieve some of the stress of everyday living, yet now I'm saddened that it has come to this..I LOVED this game, but I can't continue knowing I'm just a dollar sign. At least when I write my congressman, I get an answer. So..that's it. Ya got a month people, cll it an ultimatum, FIX the meter or me n my wallet are packin it in.

Agree.  Today the multi player is so bad meter wise. I can play single player and the meter is almost perfect, almost.  Soon as I join a mutliplayer game, on a Wednesday morning even, the meter is a stuttering, stopping, zinging mess! I don't know what you guys got going for servers, but they are insufficient for even a weekday morning. My ISP speedtest to anywhere in the USA is 20mb  down , 3.5m up right now, just tested on the west coast server, and Florida.  There is never a mention of any of the "fixes" in updates, I fail to see one thing fixed since I joined in Feb.

Well, whatever "they" did, it increased the version number from .08 to .10

They won't and you'll be back, if you leave in the first place.

It still does-it's called transference. You transfer the everyday stress to this game.  ;-)

I hear ya Steve, same here made Master and 3 putt hell, winds not what they say it is,however I have found that when I play with some of my buds-master-legend that I seem to do better at times. When I play stroke games alone (easy now folks) I'm talking rounds here on WGT that I can't shoot an under par game but maybe 1 in 10. Makes no sense at all and I have been practicing my butt off. I lost balls prior to making Master but not near as many as I have since. I have gotten hooked on the Callaways but they truly can be a strain on the credits, I believe this is by design and is a rabid cash cow but we buy into it. Let's see if Icon speaks the truth, and if so this will be a new hoot not a crap shoot.

I can of course only speak from my experience but when I went from tour pro to master my average went up, close to 70, but came back down without needing different clubs. The tees being further back made it tough but I got my average back down to a reasonable level.

However, I have to admit that since I got a new driver and irons it's dropped further and faster, so throwing money at the problem does help. It just isn't absolutely necessary.

And maybe I've been lucky but I have little meter trouble. It does skip now and then but 90% of the time I manage to take my hand off the mouse and just take an air shot.  I certainly wouldn't consider it bad enough to make me give in playing.

LOL  definitely right on the second point and prolly correct on the quote YJ, just venting as we all do about the things WE can't fix..

I think the really big point is that Golf itself is a very intellectual sport and as such we all burn the noodle workin out the math required to set up a shot and then sob into our towels as we watch that shot implode. I lost 3 balls yesterday that should have been yards away from the water, and brush. But I am gonna wait that month and hope something happens, I'm stupid that way, and thanks for the laff at myself !!
