My Son of none is playing WGT. Suddenly his account is blocked and the WGT team continuously replies all his mails with the same answer that his account is determined to be a multi account. He is asked to sypply a full listing of accounts but he has only one account!!!

My guess?   It has something to do with the letters TV at the end of your name and two of your friends that also have TV and all joined WGT in the same month of the same year.

You won't get the answers you want here,  you need to contact WGT directly.

If he is playing from your house on your internet connection they will do that, they flag more than 1 account playing from a IP address as a multi account...

That happened to 2 of my son-in-laws friends he played with when they came over to his house and played a friendly game with each other, not knowing wgt didn't like it...

I also read that when Lizzie(a long time wgt member) was in the hospital, other members visiting her played while there and got flagged too, but I don't know that for sure!

    Thanks for your replies.

My two sons and myself indeed started at the same time. TV stands is the abbreviation of our sirname. The reason I posted it here is WGT Insists his account is a multi account (same answer 3 times in a riow). I'm looking for a solution. Everything worked till he logged of and we requested a new password. All games I know just resend a new password. WGT shuts down your account and doesnt even bother to reply normally to our questions. Anyway, my kid doesnt understand it :-(

To my knowledge Johan, WGT will not speak to you with regards to your sons account - they will only talk directly with your son.

I assume he had a different email address, so it should be sent from that email account. WGT may wish to see verification of that person (such as ID and proof they exist.

There are a ton of multi accounters playing this game, so I am pleased they take action - the number of household's where the dogs, cats, aunts and uncles, let a lone their 40 children all play WGT.

But I assume they send an email to the person before disabling the account - and perhaps if they do not reply.....it is closed.

Perhaps WGT should offer some guidelines on what to do should a siblings/wives etc. want to play, to avoid genuine players being banned.

Wgt does indeed think these are/were multi accounts from the same person and it's very lazy of them.

A quick look at the three of you and I can see you fairly consistently score around your average (82 ish), Q is a little bit better than you and M scores are higher but has played less (and perhaps is a nine year old).

If this was one person playing on three accounts what would the point be? Start three accounts play them all at the same time and none of them with scores that suggest an earlier incarnation.  Three players scoring 80-100 and two(I think it is two) have their accounts suspended while other obvious multis are allowed to win credits in tournaments.

This probably fell in their lap, you e-mailed about another account which had the same ISP or something like that.  Maybe try asking them (e-mail from a banned account) to at least to look at the accounts and explain why they think it's one person.

Good luck with this, I wish you the best but fear that outcome will be they stay banned because that's easiest.

I agree and there is nothing in there so suggest otherwise.

Conversely a look at the monthly St Andrews March Tourney, the top 50 or so have all carded a 62 or better.....in the Hack Tier.

Mostly "new players" (or accounts) who have picked up the game in a matter of days.......puts my learning curve to shame.

Then WGT have made it easier for multi's, by giving credits away in lower levels and offering free rental (albeit for 2 hours) giving them more artillery. Add to the free ball when introducing friends.......

Genuine new players see those scores and know they are getting ripped off.

And whilst WGT often ban these players early ........they do not redistribute those credits won by the cheating SOB's......

After all, it is all about profitability, not transparency or fairness.

A while back I reported a player that has multi accounts & nothing happened.  Go figure.  And & even sent proof.

In my time, I have reported quite a few players.......and most have been deleted. But we only see part of what the Mods or WGT can see, and they will not discuss (and rightly so) the outcome or reasons for their action or non action.

Whatever happened to Detective P. He could sniff a multi walking up to the first tee.
