Can we please make these clashes fairer, All clubs should get either the same course throughout the clash or the same course set up over the course of the clash.

I fear you can forget it.  Clashes are, in theory, a brilliant idea but, they made a right elephants ear (like a pigs ear but a lot bigger) of it.

At the moment the club that plays the most, regardless of how well they play, will win.  End of story.

If they'd limited the number of rounds that actually count then they'd have a winner.  Make it the first 20 rounds played, regardless of how good those rounds are and then the clash is over for that club.

That way the club that posts the best scores would win, not the one that spends the most on passes.

Oh dear, I think I found the achilles heel in my plan.

We have been saying that for years ,, They don't listen and they don't care ..  We did get some course builders , But that didn't change anything , The Georgian will win just like always , Ill have problems within my CC because it always causes arguments , Some like it and some hate it , It divides most country clubs and that's not good !  Its good for them and bad for us ..

Every two weeks , Its ridiculous , Ill probably loose a member or two because of it . I guess they think its the only way to make a dollar , LOL ,,Boy are they wrong , They need some marketing help , And a little  imagination  ..

Don't get me wrong , I love this game and I don't blame anyone ,  I like all the Mods , I just don't care for the clash format ...

my country club played against The Georgian last night, the first of three times we were paired against them within five matches (how can that happen?), and they scored over 35,000 pts in that first match. absolutely ridiculous

    what is the point? :.)

Our club has faced them twice in last two clashes and beaten them h2h both times, with a fair system in place we could beat them but never going to happen when game is rigged to their advantage and one of wgt's founders, director and ceo is a member of their team and probably bankrolls them as their sponsor.

I expect this post may be deleted but just saying

Like most things in life, it is all about priorities. One of the priorities of The Georgian is to win the "clashes" and to do this most of their members play multiple rounds using passes. They seem to be well organized and work as a team. There is nothing wrong with that. Any club of some size and like minded members could challenge them if they made winning "clashes" a priority.

That there are few clubs making a priority of winning a "clash" indicates that these "clashes" are seen as by a majority of club members as wasted credits after the few free passes are used. From an historical standpoint, we know that the WGT is not interested in changing the format of "clashes" so complaining about the unfairness of The Georgian winning is moot.

The alternative is to build a club that makes winning "clashes" a priority. A few "wealthy" members gifting passes to the entire club and then getting nearly 100% member turn out on "clash" days could challenge The Georgian. Ask yourself: "If someone were to form a club with the express goal of winning "clashes", would I like to join and be 100% committed?" Be honest with yourself when you answer the question and then congratulate The Georgian for doing what few other clubs have been able to do.

Our club does encourage member to partake in the clashes and there are members who, while they don't take part, they do donate passes to the participating members.

We won 11 out of 11 in the last clash and although we couldn't match Georgian at the moment, everyone seems to enjoy the events.
